Chapter 32 LEAVING HOME

Thank God Grey's gone, I thought to myself, heaving a deep sigh of relief as I watched his car drive away. Pulling the heavy drapes back into place, I moved across the plush carpet and slumped onto the couch before my weak legs could collapse.

After what transpired between us last night, I didn't have the courage to face Grey. I'd been fierce, wild and drunk. Thinking about how I acted last night made me want to sink into a hole and stay there for the rest of my life.

Ashamed of myself, I buried my hot cheeks into my palms as the memories of last night played inside my thoughts.

Removing my hand from my face, I finished my phone inside my bag. I forgot to inform Celine about where I went last night. I’m sure she was worrying now, wondering if something bad happened to me.

Biting my lips while guilt ate me inside, I dialed her number. It was answered at the second ring.

“I'm glad you finally called.” Celine said before I could even say hello.
