“I'm really sorry to put you in this ordeal, Heart. If only I could do this on my own, you wouldn't be in a difficult situation.” Cassandra said apologetically in a hoarse whisper. Her desperation showed in her teary red eyes.
“You don't have to apologize.” I replied, gently pushing her back to the bed when she tried to get up. “Let's not forget that it's all my fault why you end up with a flu. You haven't had a decent sleep since you'd been watching over me in the hospital for weeks. I also bet that you're not eating well because of worrying over your financial problems and above all worrying about my condition.”
Cassandra didn't reply. Instead she sighed and closed her eyes. Glad that she finally stopped struggling to get up, I straightened and surveyed her room for a medicine kit if she had any. Her room was neat and organized, it didn't take me long to spot the white plastic box on top of her dresser which was labeled MEDICINE KIT.
