The sound of a body crashing to the floor was followed by screams coming from onlookers. An angry voice shouted, but I could barely make out the words because it was drowned by the sound of hard, scurrying footsteps, telling me another group of people had arrived.
“Let me go!” Zane grumbled to whoever was restraining him from attacking Grey again.
“No, I won't.” A voice edged with steel replied. “We don't want our friend to get hurt further.” Said a voice which I'm quite certain does not belong to any of my six brothers nor does it belong to the family bodyguard.
He must have been a friend of my ex-husband.
Someone who had fallen on the floor after being punched rose. Without seeing him, I knew it was Grey
“I don't want to fight.” Grey said in a surprisingly calm manner after being hit hard on the face. “I just want to see your sister.” He added.
I quietly wished he would just leave.
