Paige’s POV
Noah grabbed my arm, stopping me. When I faced him, I saw nothing but pleas in his eyes. He’s still carrying the bouquet but his mood is now far from his mood earlier. Contrary to what I expected, he didn’t snap at me. Instead, he stared into my eyes with gentleness as he spoke. “Paige, let’s start over again.”
I laughed and pushed him away. He seemed so weak that he stepped back unintentionally after I pushed him.
“Even if you push me a thousand times, I would still run to you,” he whispered just enough for me to hear.
I slapped his cheek. It was so hard that I felt my palm hurt. I gritted my teeth. “If you don’t have anything to do in your life, I have. So, leave me alone. Leave me alone, Noah. I’m so tired of you.”
“I’m sorry for what I’ve done,” he said with a hoarse voice.
I shook my head. “You should’ve apologized earlier, Noah. It’s too late for us.”
“Paige…”
I slapped him again when he tried to chase me. “Go to hell, Noah! Go to hell!”
