Chapter 142 Went all in

Rosalyn entered the engagement party with Caleb by her side. Both of them were wearing black. Rosalyn was in a black floor-length gown with minimal makeup. Caleb was dressed in a black turtleneck with dusty black trousers. A muffler was around his neck.

"It is a bit.." Caleb trailed off.

"Over the top?" Rosalyn said looking around.

"Yeah, a little bit."

"Not a little bit. They even have a red carpet. It is Iris, I would not expect anything less from her."

The decoration was hefty. Huge chandeliers were hanging by the ceiling. A stage was constructed at the end of the hall. A long banner with "Just engaged" was written on it. A pathway was made on the floor with the roof petal. Iris's parents went all in for an engagement party. Rosalyn is not too surprised. She knows where Iris gets her drama from. It is in her genetics. May the lord help Carlos, he is in for a ride.
