Vivian’s POV
As I step into my parent’s house, a wave of nostalgia washes over me. It's been so long since I last visited that my absence was attributed to my unwavering dedication to being by George's side.
The foundation of our marriage was a bet. The fear of losing him made me stay by George’s side all the time, and I rarely visited my parents in the past year. But today, circumstances have driven me away, seeking solace within the comforting walls of my childhood home.
I can’t forget how George kissed Megan right in front of me. It is tearing me up. I want to escape these painful memories and relax with my parents.
I raise my hand and press the doorbell.
A few moments later, my mom opens the door.
"Vivian!" She exclaims, grinning delightfully. "Oh, darling…" She pulls me into her embrace. "After a long time. Oh, I miss you so much," she continues murmuring, patting my back.
