My heart races with worry and relief. He is drenched in water, likely from using a fire extinguisher or finding some other way to protect himself from the flames. I'm amazed and grateful that he had the courage to come after me, even risking his own safety.

His eyes meet mine with a mixture of concern and determination. Without hesitation, he wraps his arms around me, shielding me from the heat and flames as much as he can. The sound of crackling fire and sirens fills the air around us, but at that moment, it feels like everything else fades away.

"Vivian, are you okay?" he asks, his voice filled with genuine worry.

"I am now," I manage to say, tears of relief streaming down my cheeks.
