Chapter 111 Truth Told

Serena's POV

“Serena, please listen to me…”

Jena tailed me as I walked out of the room, determined to leave. I’m thankful that she saved me but I’m not really happy that it was her who saved me. My ex-husband’s mistresses are the last people I want to see. My hatred for them cannot be redeemed by any of the good deeds they’d do.

“Serena—”

“Leave me alone, Jena!” I growled at her angrily. “Thank you for saving me but I still won't talk to you like we're some kind of friends.”

“I-I’m sorry…” She looked at me with guilt and pain in her eyes, pleading for me to listen. I ignored her pleas.

Sorry? That would never change anything.

My eyes automatically roamed around after I exited the house. The place is a small town. We're in a simple two storey house and have neighbors around. There are kids playing on the cemented road and trees everywhere.
