Chapter 33 What is wrong?

Irene'S POV

I adjusted my hair in the car and my hands shook slightly, betraying the storm brewing inside me. I took a deep breath, trying to calm the frantic beating of my heart. I needed to appear composed, unruffled, even though Leon’s closeness had left me feeling anything but that. Once I was satisfied with my appearance, I turned to him.

“Where are we?” I asked casually trying to mask my curiosity.

Leon only winked at me, a playful, mysterious smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

“You’ll see,” he said in a teasing manner as if he enjoyed keeping me in suspense.

As we stepped out of the car, I found myself standing in front of an exhibition. Not just any exhibition, but one featuring the works of my favorite photographer. My heart soared, excitement bubbling up inside me as I realized where we were. I turned to Leon, surprised and grateful, but he just nodded towards the entrance, silently urging me to go inside.
