Chapter 9 THE WOLFS!

RONAN'S POV

"Hi, Dad," Robin greeted as he walked into the family house, his footsteps echoing in the hallway.

"And what kept you this long?" Dad asked, setting his fork down on his plate with an audible clink.

"I was busy," Robin replied curtly, glancing over at my table as if seeking an ally.

I didn't say a word; I knew better than to ignite another argument.

"Ronan also works at the same company, but he always keeps to the scheduled family time," Dad said, his voice tinged with frustration.

"Honey, it's okay. What matters is that he's here now. Let's continue eating," Mum interjected, trying to diffuse the tension in the room.

"Look here, young man, I won't continue to tolerate this level of unseriousness from you. I didn't send you to a good school for you to waste your time and constantly be involved in scandals," Dad snapped, dropping the newspaper in front of Robin. "Look at today's paper. One of the headlines involves you with a married woman."
