Chapter 61 FEEL LIKE A COWARD!

RONAN'S POV

The morning light streamed through the curtains of Liora’s place, casting a soft glow on the room. I blinked awake, feeling the familiar weight of guilt settle over me before I could even fully process where I was. As soon as I felt her warm body beside me, reality crashed down hard.

Liora.

Her steady breathing filled the silence, and I turned my head to look at her. She was still asleep, her hair fanned out on the pillow, the blanket pulled up just enough to reveal her bare shoulder. I clenched my fists, trying to keep the wave of regret from overtaking me.

What the hell had I done?

My pulse quickened. Liora wasn’t just anyone—she was Nikolai’s little sister, the one I swore I’d look out for, not… this. I slid out of bed slowly, careful not to wake her, my heart pounding in my chest as the weight of my mistake hit me harder with each step.

I couldn’t be here when she woke up. Not like this.
