RONAN'S POV;
I woke up earlier than usual, the soft light of dawn just starting to creep into the room. I'm the supposed to go to the hospital to check on Dad and Mum. To see how they slept and also to take breakfast for them.
As I made my way through the house, I deliberately passed the guest room where I had shown Sophie to stay last night. I didn’t want her thinking something had changed between the two of us—especially Mom—getting the wrong idea about what was going on between the two of us. Because, honestly, there was nothing. We're just acquaintances.
I headed toward the kitchen, hoping to grab a quick cup of coffee and escape for a morning jog to clear my head before the hospital visit. But when I got there, my plans were immediately derailed.
