LIORA'S POV
When Mark informed me that Liora was here to see me, I felt a jolt of surprise. Liora rarely ever came to my office, and the fact that she was here now had me reeling for a moment. I quickly straightened up and tried to keep my expression unreadable, refocusing on the paperwork in front of me as if her presence wasn’t already commanding my full attention.
"Hey, Liora. What brings you here?" I said, leaning back in my chair, eyes locking onto hers with a casual confidence that masked my intrigue.
"Good morning, Ronan," she greeted, her tone clipped. The tightness around her mouth didn’t escape me, and I could tell she was holding back some anger. It was rare to see her like this, angry yet restrained by courtesy. It made her more captivating.
