Chapter 125 NOT A LIFE PARTNER!

---

LIORA'S POV

I stood by the window, my gaze fixed on Ronan’s place just a few doors down. It had been two days since I last saw him, and yet, in a strange way, it felt so much longer—like we’d drifted into different worlds. Each time I imagined his face, a pang of guilt cut through me, sharper and colder than I thought I could bear. I wanted to believe he was avoiding me, but deep down, I knew that I was avoiding him too.

Maybe it was for the best. After all, I’d done the unthinkable: I’d broken his heart. And in doing so, I had shattered my own, perhaps even worse.

A soft knock broke through my thoughts, pulling me back to the present. I hesitated, wondering who it could be at this hour, but then remembered I’d asked Max to pick me up. I needed the distraction—something, anything, to keep me from dwelling too long on the aching pieces of my life with Ronan.
