The room fell silent as everyone turned to see Nicholas, his eyes burning with anger. Emily’s eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly masked her shock, calmly returning to her seat and taking a nonchalant sip from her glass. Nicholas’s fury intensified at her indifferent response. He marched over, seized her hand, and began to drag her out of the box.
Lilly, her expression now frosty, stepped in front of Nicholas. "Mr. Sinclair, what do you think you’re doing?"
Nicholas shot her a piercing look. "Move out of the way!"
Lilly’s eyes narrowed with defiance. "Emily is my friend. You owe me an explanation if you intend to drag her away."
Nicholas’s patience snapped. "For the last time, get out of my way!"
As the confrontation escalated, Emily, recognizing that Lilly stood no chance against Nicholas, intervened. "Lilly, I’m fine. I’ll be back shortly."
Lilly hesitated, worry etched on her face. "Emily..."
"Don’t worry. He won’t do anything to me," Emily reassured her.
