Chapter 34

Emily shot Leo a half-smile and replied, "Didn’t you just have someone else take care of that? Your daughter seemed to be doing a fantastic job. Let her continue."

Maria’s face fell, her plan to annoy Emily backfiring. What was meant to make Emily uncomfortable now made her look like a mere servant. She stood up, her eyes filled with resentment. Emily, tired of Maria's fake innocence, raised an eyebrow and sneered, "Take care of him in bed too?"

Maria’s face drained of color, and she trembled, speechless. The tension in the room grew thick.

"Snap!" Silya slammed her chopsticks down, glaring at Emily with disdain. "It’s your failure as a wife, yet you have the nerve to bring up Maria? She and Nicholas have been close since childhood. Are you jealous she served him food?"
