Ezekiel made Alyssa and Aiden ride with him to the hospital. Since he was badly injured, one of the wolf warriors that helped subdue the rogue drove the car.


He didn't want any other complications with Alyssa so he didn't let Cindy use the same car they used despite her trying to convince him that she should be the one to go with him.


The ride to the hospital was suffocatingly silent and unbearable for Ezekiel. Even though Alyssa had chosen to accompany him to the hospital, she still didn't really cared much about his situation.


At first, he thought it was fine as long as she came with him, he thought he only needed her presence but now, he knows he wanted mre than that. She was close to him but she didn't even spare him one glance.


She poured all of her attention on Aiden, tenderly soothing him while he was made to watch from across the vehicle. She was supposed to be treating him that way because he was the injured one.
