Ivory Remington had sacrificed five years to look after her husband Gadreel who was in a vegetative state after an accident and a few months ago, he finally awakened like a miracle. She thought it was the start of their happy life but Gadreel still had no heart for her.
On their anniversary and her birthday, she received a cheating video of her dear husband and her stepsister.
Heartbroken, Ivory chose to quit this stupid game. She decided to set him free but the reason she left on the divorce agreement pierced Gadreel's noble pride.

“Sexless, huh?” he chuckled lowly and without warning grabbed her chin in between his hands, pulling her face closer. "Turns out my wife was so eager to get a man between her legs? "

After Divorce, I Return As CEO

Evangeline could feel her skin burning with rising anger towards what Ivory had said as she stormed her way back into Gadreel’s ward.


As she walked in, Evangeline noticed that he had gotten off his bed and now stood by the window, staring at nothing in particular, but it was clear in his eyes that he was thinking about something…or rather, someone.


Evangeline felt her anger rise once again, however, ignoring it, she placed on a friendly smile and approached Gadreel.


“Reel, you should be in bed, you deserve all the rest you can get.” She reminded and ever so gently, lead him back to the bed where Gadreel sat silently for a few minutes before he spoke up.


“I know you care for me, Eva, and I appreciate that, but what happened to me, wasn’t Ivory’s fault. So, don’t bother blaming her.”


His words surprised Evangeline to the point that a chuckle left her.


This was a surprise. Was he… standing up for Ivory? Was this some sick joke?
