Evangeline’s words didn’t feel right, but Gadreel dismissed them, as well as her.
“You can’t do this here, Evangeline. It’s a business place.” He told her, much to his surprise, she replied.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t quite notice I was disturbing. I’ll leave immediately!” After saying this, she turned and began packing her things.
Gadreel watched in surprise as she packed up everything and turned to face him, flashing him one last smile and a wave, before she turned and left, without another word.
Gadreel could only blink in confusion at the oddity.
What…never mind.
Turning around, he ordered. “Get rid of those.”
The employees who were enjoying Evangeline’s treats, did not hesitate to toss them in the trash at their boss’s command.
As Gadreel walked back to his office, he put the weird encounter with Evangeline into the back of his mind and instead, focused on the main event of his day.
