"Lucien, let's get a divorce," I said in a peremptory tone that was long overdue, the most decisive farewell to this absurd marriage.

I got into the car and the driver drove off.


Getting to the busy road, the car suddenly pulled up at the side of the road.


“Get down. I have something important to attend to tonight. Take a taxi home.”


I didn’t argue with him, I got out of the car and it sped off.


He could have at least had the decency to drop me home.
