"Lucien, let's get a divorce," I said in a peremptory tone that was long overdue, the most decisive farewell to this absurd marriage.
We had been married for exactly three years—three years that, for me, were filled with nothing but endless loneliness and torment.
For three years, the husband who should have stood by my side through every storm, Lucien Sullivan, had completely disappeared from my life as if he had never existed. He vanished without a trace, leaving me alone to endure this empty, desolate marriage.

The women in the room felt envious of Carla.


“Awwn, that’s so sweet. He didn’t want to be separated from you.”


Ava asked. “You really should introduce us to him. We need to see the man who loves you that much. Men like him are rare.”


Carla smiled, sheepishly.”I will introduce him to you guys later when I get the chance.”


Carla didn’t like how calm Aurora looked. From the moment she accepted that she was the news reporter Mr Dumont wanted even if she wasn’t so sure, she had been expecting Aurora to look a mess.


But she still had that beautiful, calm look on her face.


Even now that she was bragging about her boyfriend who was Aurora’s husband, Aurora still looked composed as if she didn’t care.


She wanted to see a pained look on Aurora’s face.


The waiters came over and handed the ordering tablets to everyone.


Carla handed a tablet to Aurora herself.


“Aurora, order anything you want, it’s the least I can do for taking the prime-time position from you.”
