*AURORA*
“Lucien is yours, yet you look so scared. You’re the one who betrayed me and you’re still the one who knows no peace. Can’t you see how unfortunate you are?
I eyes her.
“Carla, you have nothing, absolutely nothing to your name. The only thing you have, the only thing you’ve fought for is Lucien’s love. It’s pathetic that it’s the only purpose you have. Imagine someone’s only purpose in life is a stupid man’s love? You don’t want to admit that your purpose seemed to have failed because losing him means losing everything you have. So you’re going to continue like this, worried and unable to sleep because he’s just a confused man.”
“He’s not confused. He loves me! You’re the one pestering him! You’re the one disturbing him! You left the house yet you won’t serve him the divorce papers. Give him the papers, I’m sure he’d sign it!”
I frowned.
Divorced papers?
Could it be that Lucien had never told Carla about the fact that him and I weren’t legally married?
