"So, when are you guys going to get married?" Marla asked with a big smile. "Your son has been born and everything is according to your wishes."
Charles glanced at Gina who looked annoyed.
"Charles thinks that the baby I gave birth to is not his flesh and blood, Mom," Gina said in a low tone.
"What?"
Marla looked up and put the food Gina was feeding him, on the nightstand beside the bed.
"What do you mean, Charles? How could you think like that? Are you looking for trouble with my daughter? Are you going to shirk your responsibilities?" Marla said angrily.
Charles put the iPad on the table. "I don't mean anything, but I need to convince myself. My child will be the successor to the Frederick name and he will inherit our family's great fortune. I don't want to raise a son from another man, if it turns out he is not my flesh and blood."
Now Marla's face turned bright red and Gina's face turned pale.
"You bastard!" Marla shouted even angrier. "Are you insulting my daughter?"
