Brad Murphy smiled sadly. His eyes clearly showed regret and pain.
"Do you know this man, Lilian?" Jerome asked in a flat tone.
Lilian's face was as pale as a corpse. Leon looked at his mother and the old man beside Jerome alternately, confused.
"N-no," Lilian said nervously. "No!"
Jerome sighed. "Let me ask you again, Lilian. Do you know this man next to me?"
Lilian clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white and she felt a sharp sting in her palms from her nails digging in.
"Mom," Leon said urgently. "Who is that man? Grandpa wouldn't ask you that if you didn't know him."
Leon's words made Lilian's eyes water. She turned to Andy who was staring at her coldly. Seeing the way Andy looked at her and didn't move, she realized what had changed Andy's attitude lately.
Lilian turned her gaze to Brad, and her tears fell. "Yes, I know him. That man is your biological grandfather, Leon."
Lilian's tone was filled with hatred.
