In the year 2178, technology has advanced so much that people can fly around in cars and buildings can even float! Space travel is super common, and virtual reality is like, totally real. Then, this new game shows up Aurora's 18th birthday. It's called "Game Genesis," and it's made by some mysterious company called Elysian Horizons Interactive.



The game is really cool because you can make your own avatar and fighting style, but you can't change how you look. When you start playing, you end up in this huge lobby with lots of curtains. Each curtain hides a different world that you can explore with your friends. The catch is, you have to work in teams of five to enter these worlds, and you have to protect this special banner or you'll get kicked out.



As people start playing more and more, the game becomes super popular and even turns into a big esports thing. But some players start to notice weird stuff—like, the game might be affecting the real world too. Aurora and her friends have to figure out what's going on and decide if they want to keep playing or not.
