Inside the towering glass shell of ASNT News HQ, silence clung to the top floor—except for the rustle of pages in Iris Vale's office.

Iris was seated in her office, the quiet silence in the office only disturbed by the occasional sounds of flipping papers.

She sat in her office chair behind the desk, absorbed in her work. Her expression flickering between confusion and seriousness every once in a while.

Then a sound ripped the silence away,

The knocking sound on the door lingered in the office, Iris raised her head as she looked at the closed door.

She didn't respond, her eyebrows furrowed as she looked at the door as though she could see the person on the other side.
