The Flight

💻💻The Foreign System💻💻

📲CHAPTER_12 📲

Ji-Ho paced around aimlessly and ran fingers through his hair

Was Lunara now trying to get him killed?

How was he supposed to move the body of an unconscious man and not get caught?

Moreover, he only came with a bicycle.

Is this a part where he calls for Micheal's help?

No, he didn't have Micheal's number, and leaving the man's body here to get Micheal wasn't an option.

Someone would either find the body or the man would have become unconscious.

Ji-Ho glanced at the bicycle which he had now brought to the hallway and then at Joon's unconscious body.

He hit himself in the head and groaned, "Think of something. Fvck!"

He had tried summoning Lunara but she had chosen to ignore him just like the first time.

"Wait a minute..." Ji-Ho's eyes suddenly lit up and he looked carefully at his system status.

Can he try using his flying ability?

He wasn't sure yet how to activate his flight movement and had only done it by mistake.

He wanted to try now but could not afford to waste his flying point.

There were only a few XPs left to refill his Stat points.

[Your Fear Limits You, Ji-Ho]

Just when he least expected, a system message appeared.

What? She was right though.

He was scared of many things going on.

'Then help me' Ji-Ho tried communicating with her but there was no response.

Does that mean what he was planning could be possible?

Ji-Ho carried the body of the unconscious man and groaned.

[Strength: - 1]

The body almost slipped out of his grip as he exhausted his Strength.

"Fvck!" He wanted to add but seeing his current XP, it wasn't advisable.

Ji-Ho staggered to his feet and noticed a - 1 decrease in his Stamina.

He had to act fast before his Stamina points burned out.

Quickly, he made his way up the staircase that led to the roof with the body.

Because of his Stamina, he didn't get tired but he was using his normal Strength to carry his body.

He eventually got to the edge of the roof and dropped the body beside him.

[Stamina: 5 / 100] lv.1

He took a deep breath and made to carry the body again when his eyes saw a thick rope at the corner.

"Good" He quickly took the rope and made sure to tie Joon's hands, then wrapped it around his body, making sure the knots were tight.

"If this doesn't work. I'm gonna lose a chunk of my HP, I guess. Lunara..." He wasn't sure what to say so he remained quiet and carried the body.

Ji-Ho blinked his eyes and the words from the system reflected in his mind.

He was being fearful.

That is why he has lost a chunk of his XP fighting the target.

If only he had been on the offensive and attacked immediately, he would have saved much for the future.

Right now wasn't the time to lament.

He was new to this thing and had the right to be afraid.

All his life he has been scared.

But now, he had the power to make others fear him.

Ji-Ho immediately threw himself from the roof and focused his mind on flying just like he does with Defense.

Defense gets activated when he raises his hand to block an attack.

His body suddenly became light and he couldn't feel his body floating in the air.

What the? He was flying right now and it felt easy.

[ Flying: - 1 ]

[ Stamina: - 2 ]

Why was his Stamina burning out? Was it because he wasn't using his system strength to carry the body and Stamina was helping to keep him balanced in air?

There was no time to waste then.

To be sure of this,

[ Strength: +5 ]

[ Available XP: 13 ]

Ji-Ho quickly pushed himself forward so he didn't waste time now that his stats were burning and he had little XP left.

He was moving in the air and his movement was fast and went with the flow of the wind but his Speed stat didn't deduct.

[ Flying: 7 / 100 ] lv.1

[ Strength: 1 / 100 ] lv.1

[ Defense: 0 / 100 ] lv.1

[ Stamina: 2 / 100 ] lv.1

[ Speed: 1 / 100 ] lv.1

The depreciation of the Stats point scared him and he was forced to add,

[ Strength: +3 ]

[ Stamina: +3 ]

[ Available XP: 7 ]

He knew it wasn't going to last but he was scared for his Flying point.

He could try to endure without the system's Strength and Stamina but not the flying.

Getting the man to the location was his priority.

Ji-Ho pushed himself forward and was shocked by the sudden boost that took him about 50m ahead.

[Speed: - 1]

[Moving In Wind's Direction Increases Speed Movement]

What? He could cover much distance with the sudden distance this speed gave him only if he could continue.

[Speed: +3]

Ji-Ho couldn't resist the temptation to try using his speed.

He didn't feel restricted when he flew. Does that mean he is moving in the direction of the wind?

Whoosh!

[Speed: - 3]

For a second everything went blue in Ji-Ho's sight as he cut through the air at an inhuman speed and glanced down.

He couldn't clearly see the structures below but focused on a tall cell tower that was behind his house.

That was what he was trying to use and locate his place but it was difficult.

"It should be there" He could narrowly see a cell tower that was up ahead.

This was when he realized his other stats hadn't changed.

His flying point was supposed to be deducted even if the others didn't.

Why? Was Lunara involved in this?

He was still flying but the point wasn't reducing.

Was she helping him?

A smile curled around his lips.

The moment he thought about this, he was so sure he heard a sneer in his head.

[ Flying: -5 ]

[ Strength: -4]

[ Stamina: -4 ]

His points were suddenly deducted and he had little to no time to react because the little stat points left had been deducted in seconds.

This left his Basic Stat zeroed.

What the actual fvck did the system just do?

[ Available XP: 4]

"Oh fvck!" Ji-Ho cried aloud as his body was suddenly pulled downwards by a very powerful force, gravity.

He no longer had flying point to stay in the air and was coming straight to the ground.

Is this how he was going to die?

Will his HP be able to say him?

Ji-Ho struggled to hold the body in the air and rotated to see the ground which he was now close to.

He shut his eyes tightly for the worst when he suddenly saw a system massage.

[Defense: +4]

[Defense: - 4]

He could see the system's message when he closed his eyes.

This was shocking because he wasn't responsible for converting XP to Defense Point.

He slowly opened his eyes and found himself on the tarred road with the body still in his grip.

Did defense protect him from the fall effect? He didn't know Defense could do such.

Perhaps Lunara de--

Ji-Ho stopped abruptly remembering what had led to this.

He felt Lunara had helped him and his Stat point was zeroed in seconds.

He was so sure he heard her sneer in his head.

[There Was A Temporal System Malfunction]

[Compensation Bonus Can Be Claimed]

Is this it? A system malfunction?

Was it for zeroing his stat points or the conversion of his XP?

Ji-Ho immediately took his mind off the matter and rubbed his forehead.

Lunara was doing something and she didn't want him thinking about it.

She was strange.

He looked around and noticed the place.

It was his street.

JI-Ho carried the body and struggled his way into the darkness.

Taking the tarred road which was clearly lit by the streetlights wasn't an option.

It was struggle and consistency that took him through as he finally arrived at the back of his house.

He was sweating and panting heavily.

The system would have been beneficial if he had XP left.

Stamina could help him endure for long without tiring out.

Ji-Ho rested for minutes before dragging the body into the building.

He turned on the light in the veranda and he almost screamed seeing the figure that stood before him.

Micheal had his hands crossed and his brows lifted.

What? Why is he here?

"Now I'm thinking I missed something during my assignment about you," Micheal said as he squatted before the before and took his pulse.

" He is not dead"

Ji-Ho was stunned on the spot and didn't know what to say.

Will Lunara punish him for this?

Micheal wasn't supposed to be involved.

Micheal looked carefully at the unconscious man's face and said, "Gwan Joon. Is this him? I remember now. He was lucky to have survived getting squashed into the blood in that hallway yesterday"

When Micheal said this, Ji-Ho now understood how the man recognized him and wanted to take him away.

He had survived but what did Lunara want him to investigate?

[Find And Capture Kim And Kang Technologies Security Guard Gwan Joon For Interrogation] [Completed]✅

Ji-Ho was caught off guard by the system message and this made him smile.

Micheal's eyes dimmed and he said, "Perhaps you're a psycho killer or something"

Ji-Ho quickly composed himself and

lied, "I think he would have information about the company so..."

The mission was completed so Lunara shouldn't punish him for telling Micheal.

Now that he had read the mission again, he understood better.

He was just to find and capture the Gwan Joon guy.

The interrogation wasn't detailed.

And the Bonus was if Micheal didn't help him capture the man.

[ Bonus: +100 XP. Criteria: Capture Target Without Micheal's Help But Information ] ✅

"Hmm," Micheal caressed his brows and then tapped on Ji-Ho's head, "You surprise me, kid. But then, you got superhuman powers. I'm even more confident in you now"

Ji-Ho forced a smile.

"But then, involve me in something like this. We're a team now, right?" Micheal asked, raising a brow.

Ji-Ho rubbed his eyes and didn't bother to confirm with Lunara who would surely ignore him.

"Yeah. I just wanted to see what I can do on my own"

[Do You Want To Claim Rewards]

[Rewards: 100 XP + New Stat Ability + 100 Bonus XP + 50 Compensation XP ]

Ji-Ho almost smiled but remembered Micheal was still around.

The system had indeed granted him compensation.

As much as he didn't want to think about it, Lunara punished and helped him for a reason best known to her.

'Yes,' He thought.

[Rewards Successfully Claimed]

[ Available XP: 250]

[Congratulations! New Stat Ability Unlocked]

[Sight: 0 / 100] lv.1?

Sight? What could that be?

[ Let Micheal Sanchez Handle The Interrogation. Gwan Joon Has Information Regarding The Test Subjects ]

When Ji-Ho saw this system message, he realized how important Micheal now was.

The system probably trusts him or something.

"Are you alright?" Micheal noticed Ji-Ho's absent-mindedness.

"Yeah," Ji-Ho scratched his head and said, "I don't know how to ask questions. Could you interrogate him to get information about your niece?"

He knew Micheal was going to help him but he wanted him to not get the slightest idea of his symbiotic relationship with Lunara.

"And also, about the captured Vitalians. I'm very much interested in what's happening down there"

Micheal sighed, "Interrogation is what I do best, Kid. Your eyes look heavy. Go and rest and I'll take this from here"

Ji-Ho nodded and said, "The basement is that way" He showed Micheal before leaving.

This was when he realized the question mark dangling in front of his new school.

Curiously, he touched it.

In games, it was to know more information about something.

A mini screen appeared,

[ Sight: Perceive the world beyond the confines of normal vision. With Sight, normal vision is enhanced especially from great heights. As you level up Sight, your vision becomes telescopic, unleashing the capacity to see through walls, barriers, and impenetrable materials ]

"Wow! Cool" Ji-Ho closed the window and blinked his eyes.

[ Sight: +10 ]

After converting his XP, he looked around but there was no difference.

How was he supposed to activate it?

Now he wondered what other Stat ability the system had in store for him.

He was different from the gifted humans.

With this type of system, he would continuously grow in power.

Ji-Ho looked through the window to see the woods and was shocked by what he could see.

[Sight: - 1]

There was no darkness.

Outside was bright as the day and most amazing of all, he could clearly see the trees at the entrance of the woods.

Humans shouldn't be able to see this far but he did when he concentrated.

[Sight: - 1]

Ji-Ho was smiling foolishly when he noticed an external light that was cast at the window to the left.

It went off and he could easily tell it was the headlight of a vehicle but then his head did a memory reverse.

He initially heard a slight noise that sounded like the arrival of a vehicle.

Casually, he moved to that side of the window and gently moved the curtain to check.

That vehicle noise was calm and almost like there was no sound.

Why does it sound familiar?

His eyeballs almost dropped on seeing the white Rolls-Royce Phantom parked at the center of the road.

His heart slowly began to pound and he tried to control his breathing as well.

This can't be.

The door slid open and a beautiful figure stretched out of the vehicle.

Because of his concentration, his Sight ability was activated and the face of the figure instantly became visible.

She was in a tight skimpy dress that barely covered her laps and hugged every curve of her body.

Her cleavages were exposed in the short dress and that made a gulp go down his throat.

It was a garment that commanded attention.

Ji-Ho rolled away from the window and rested his back on the wall.

His face was flushed and pale at the same time, and it felt like his heart was going to explode.

"Kim Nana?"
