14. Finally In The Sect

Kun Qiling spoke up "Tang Xilong, come take the test first"

Tang Xilong was surprised and pointed to himself then Kun Qiling nodded "Come here"

Ning Caiyu looked at the elder behind Kun Qiling then whispered to the other four "We might split up here. You must quickly take the test and choose East Wing Residence Eight, don't forget. We'll meet up there later"

Tang Xilong went up and Ning Caiyu followed him before any of the four could ask a question

Xia Qianyu was puzzled "Why did Prince Ning ask us to go to that place?"

Tang Xiaomi shrugged "Who knows? We just have to listen to him. After all, after Xi Gege, Yu Gege's the most important person in the family"

Tang Xilong looked over to Kun Qiling clueless then Ning Caiyu said "You have to place your left hand on the blue one then once you pass, place your right hand on the green one"

Tang Xilong nodded and did as he was told

While Tang Xilong was taking the test, Yin Yunyang was surprised to see Ning Caiyu and asked "Ah Yu, what are you doing here? You haven't come to classes for weeks. Where have you been? I even had to ask your obnoxious sister where you had gone to. I saw her yesterday coming from outside the gate fuming and being even more rude to everyone than usual and I thought she had failed to find you"

Ning Caiyu said "I-i.. err.. the thing is, Elder Yin..."

Yin Yunyang furrowed her brows "Speak"

Ning Caiyu shook his head "It's nothing, Elder Yin. I was out on a mission and overexerted myself, if not for Tang Xilong. I would have been long dead by now"

Tang Xilong who was done came over and interjected "I passed the tests"

Yin Yunyang nodded to Tang Xilong then faced Ning Caiyu again "Are you sure?"

Ning Caiyu nodded "Yes, Elder Yin, I am"

Tang Xilong asked puzzled "What are you two talking about? Hope it's not me"

Ning Caiyu smiled "It is about you"

Yin Yunyang patted Tang Xilong's shoulder "Thank you for saving him now let's go"

Ning Caiyu asked "Ehnn? Elder Yin, I know I have to receive punishment now but why is Xilong Ge coming with us? He didn't do anything wrong"

Before Yin Yunyang could speak, Tang Xilong stood in front of Ning Caiyu "What punishment? Caiyu has not done anything wrong"

Yin Yunyang rolled her eyes and held the two by the back of their collars then ran so fast into the sect that it felt like they were flying

Yin Yunyang finally stopped when they got to the top floor of one of the buildings

Yin Yunyang stretched for a bit "Well, that was pretty exercising"

Ning Caiyu asked "Why did you bring us to your Alchemy Room, Elder Yin?"

Tang Xilong asked "What's an Alchemy Room?"

Before Ning Caiyu could answer him, Yin Yunyang squinted her eyes at him "Why are you asking? You should know it. Learning about the world's occupation is common knowledge to you"

Tang Xilong replied "What makes you think it's common knowledge for me? I grew up surviving with my own hands. It's here in the sect that I'll finally learn about actual things I need to know as a cultivator"

Yin Yunyang puzzledly looked at him "Aren't you Ah Xu?"

Tang Xilong scoffed "And who the heck is that?"

Yin Yunyang said "Ning Caiyu, go back to your residence first. I want to speak to your friend here for a minute"

Ning Caiyu nodded and was about to leave when Tang Xilong demanded "Caiyu, stay"

Yin Yunyang cautioned "I am going to talk about something that is privy and might be related to you. Do you want him to listen? You don't even know each other!"

Tang Xilong looked away and folded his arms "What are you getting all serious about? It might not even be related to me and I want him to stay, what's your problem with that?"

Ning Caiyu widened his eyes and chided him "Xilong Ge, Don't be so rude to Elder Yin, she's a Core Elder. You shouldn't provoke her"

Yin Yunyang waved her hand "Don't worry about that, Ah Yu. Ah Long can't provoke me. Now onto the real reason I called you here"

Tang Xilong side eyed her "So what is it?"

Yin Yunyang took a deep breath and closed the door with her spiritual energy then she changed into a smaller version of herself with same light purple hair and purple eyes

Ning Caiyu had one thought in his mind when he saw that 'Illusions?'

Tang Xilong thought her to be familiar then finally realized "Y-you! You're the one I saw in my last and only memory before five years old! What are you??"

Yin Yunyang smiled and walked over "This is a transformation technique. Ah Xu and my elder sister are the only ones who know this form which is my true form"

Tang Xilong agitatedly asked "Who is Ah Xu! And who is your elder sister??"

Yin Yunyang replied "Ah Xu is my elder sister's daughter and even though you have different hair and eyes. I know and I am a hundred percent sure you are Ah Xu"

Tang Xilong sneered and Ning Caiyu said "Elder Yin, but the Ah Xu you're speaking of is a girl but Xilong Ge is obviously a boy so how do you know he is Ah Xu?"

Yin Yunyang sat down and signalled for the two to take a seat also "True. That's very true. I also thought that way when Xilong first came to me and asked if we met before then I finally took notice of him but at that moment, I didn't really think he was Ah Xu till I saw him use Devil Spirit Fire against a few beasts in the horde. It was then I instantly knew he was Ah Xu"

Tang Xilong rolled his eyes "You were tailing me?"

Yin Yunyang nodded "Only to that point tho"

Tang Xilong was furious but Ning Caiyu held his shoulder and he said to Yin Yunyang "That isn't enough to know that Xilong Ge is Ah Xu either. Although Devil Spirit Fire is pretty rare among devilkins but some devilkins still possess it"

Yin Yunyang smiled slightly "Ah Long, you possess illusion one of the forbidden element right?"

The boys were taken aback and Tang Xilong asked with rage and shock "I thought you said you only tailed me to that tunnel so how do you know that!?"

Yin Yunyang replied "Cause I am your aunt and you are Ah Xu. I remember what my sister said to me once when you were born. 'I won't let my Ah Xu be a boy so she won't get into trouble' I was wondering why she said that till this day until I saw you. I became aware that all that time, my elder sister didn't let anyone know you were a boy even me the closest person to her and dressed, even treated you as a girl."

Tang Xilong curiously asked "Why did she do that?"

Yin Yunyang sighed "Probably because she didn't want you to be included in the battle for the throne"

Tang Xilong was stumped as Ning Caiyu asked with surprise "Prince? Xilong Ge is one of the princes of the devilkin race?"

Yin Yunyang took a deep breath "He is a prince but not of the devilkin race"

Ning Caiyu was puzzled "But there are only four royal families. Xuezhang Royal Family of the Immortal Realm, Fu Royal Family of the Beastkin Realm, my family of the Mortal Realm and Wei Royal Family of the Devilkin Realm. There has never been any more or less than those four"

Yin Yunyang smiled wryly "But surely, you know about evil sorcerers, right?"

Ning Caiyu kept silent with his head down and Tang Xilong asked "What do I have to do with them? I am not an evil sorcerer"

Yin Yunyang replied "You're a sorcerer but definitely not an evil one. See, the thing is even though we sorcerers were chased, hunted and hated by everyone cause of the forbidden elements we possessed and the evil deeds we committed. We had a king and queen rule over us and make sure we didn't cross the line"

Ning Caiyu slammed the table and shouted with tears in his eyes "Line? Do you evil sorcerers even have a bottom line!? You would do anything and everything to get your way no matter how cruel you knew you would be!!"

Tang Xilong was shocked by Ning Caiyu's outburst 'What the heck happened with Caiyu? Why does he hate them so much?'

Tang Xilong eyes widened 'System, finally, where have you been? You didn't say a word for almost three days and I thought you were giving me the silent treatment'

*{System: I underwent an upgrade and it was like a sudden nap so I didn't have time to tell you, anyhow, I'll give you the gist of it later. Let's listen to them first}

Tang Xilong watched as Ning Caiyu sat back down and started crying silently then Tang Xilong held his shoulder to comfort him but Ning Caiyu shook it off then turned his back towards them "Let me be for a moment"

Yin Yunyang said "Just leave him alone for a while, he needs to let out his pent-up stress"

Tang Xilong looked at the sobbing Ning Caiyu for a little longer then faced Yin Yunyang with a hard glare "Continue what you were saying earlier"

Yin Yunyang sighed "The King, Cang Qiongqi and Queen, Ming Lulin were the father and mother of four kids. Cang Panzi, the eldest who was born with puppetry forbidden elements. Cang Kexing, the second son who was born with no element so Father taught him Absorb. Cang Wuxiao, my elder sister who was born with the blood element and me, Cang Ruci who was not born with any so I chose to learn the Illusions element.

Mother died after giving birth to me which pained Wuxiao Jie a lot cause they were close. We all practiced evil arts from birth and killed a lot of people when we were young. The person Father chose to teach me wasn't very much older than my sister, his name was Tang Chulan. He was a devilkin who also possessed Devil Spirit Fire but for some reason, decided to practice the forbidden elements.

My sister and I were very close since I was born so we stuck to each other everywhere. And he started teaching me when I turned six so I don't know how but they later fell in love with each other. Then a day came a few years later, Father sent me and my sister to practice on a village in the Beastkin realm which meant we had to kill them and the soldiers who would come with us would wipe them out. Lan Ge tagged along with us to help out.

While the soldiers were wiping the rest, the Beastkin royal legion ambushed us, we were outnumbered so we fled but Lan Ge died while trying to protect Wuxiao Jie then after we escaped that ordeal, we escaped to the devil realm but we had to hide cause we were mortals and not all devilkins are nice to other realm dwellers. After about a month, we finally settled our lives there and Wuxiao Jie finally told me she was pregnant for Lan Ge. Of course I was very happy for her but also worried cause we were in a foreign place.

Then later on, she gave birth to you. I wasn't with her in the labour room when she gave birth to you so she told me you were a girl cause you did look like a girl when you were younger and your mum kept dressing you up like a girl too. She named you Cang Renming since Cang was our surname but I asked her why she named you Renming since it's obviously bad and also sounds more like a boy's name."

Tang Xilong said with a glint of disappointment in his eyes "Renming means to accept misfortunes, right?"

Yin Yunyang nodded with a wry smile and continued "Wuxiao Jie said that she's using you as healing to accept your father's death and I didn't say no more but I loved calling you Ah Xu cause your smile was like a brilliant rising sun."

Tang Xilong's face softened a bit "Oh"

Yin Yunyang said "You were born a devilkin maybe probably because your dad's genes were more dominant over your mum's. When you were young, your cultivation speed was fast and you reached the second level at four years old. On your fifth birthday, your mum suddenly decided to seal your cultivation for absolutely no reason which we kinda argued on cause it was very bad to seal your cultivation at such a young age which might weaken your foundation in future. But before she could tell me why she did that..

We were suddenly attacked and we had to flee when we realized that the people who attacked us knew we were evil sorcerers but your mum got captured by them right when we got on a ride to the mortal realm. On the ride before we went through the portal, I suddenly felt so weak and you were killed by the guy who controlled the beast then I was pushed off the beast.

Soon after you both disappeared into the portal and I lost consciousness afterwards. I believed you two had died and I had lost all my family so I decided to seal my forbidden element for good and found a way to permanently look and be like a devilkin although it took me a few years. Once I finally got the hang of it, I came here to be an elder, started off as an inner court elder then became a core elder cause of my fast cultivation speed which shocked me also"

Ning Caiyu who had his back turned towards them suddenly turned around "It's impossible for a mortal to become a devilkin!"

Yin Yunyang pursed her lips and released them "I too thought so but after hiding for a while and secretly searching at the same time. I met someone who helped me but I don't remember how the person did it. Until now, I don't even remember the person or the person's face or what method but I woke up several months with a more matured devilkin body and darkness element in me. I was already in the fifth level. Once I was able to use my elements and devil energy properly, I cultivated to enter sixth level then came to the mortal realm to join All The Way Sect and successfully became an inner court elder"

Tang Xilong repeated the question and she replied "I don't even know that either"

Ning Caiyu harrumphed "You're an evil sorcerer who got duped by probably a more evil sorcerer. You're all just the same"

Yin Yunyang nodded "Yes, I was evil but not anymore, I was raised wrong and mistook everyone else for something they were not. I broke out of that fake reality and became a better person. But not Ah Xu, he is good, we raised him to be good to everyone else but I don't understand, I saw you die so how are you still alive?"

Tang Xilong shrugged "How would I know when I woke up in small abandoned house with a paper in my hands with the words 'Tang Xilong, five years, now mortal cause devil cultivation was sealed' with a mortal cultivation technique book with the paper' I took it as my identity cause I had no memory of my past. I grew up shunned, bullied and abused for two years then became a thief to survive so am not exactly as good as you paint me to"
