The months following that confrontation were quiet. Andra stayed busy with work, school, and Kingsley. The space between her and Parker had grown even wider.

She enrolled in the photography workshop, something Rachael had encouraged her to do. She loved it. It was freeing to learn something new. And with her new skills, Andra began to picture a future beyond just getting by.
One evening, while Kingsley slept, Andra sat at her desk, sketching out a plan. A plan for her business. She could start her own photography service—focused on family portraits, children's milestones, and events.
It would take time. But time, she realized, was the one thing she had in abundance now that she wasn't waiting for Parker to show up.
She was finally moving forward.
