chapter 67

That was because the lightsaber's speed was too fast, and ionization occurred due to its friction with the air.

However, the energy within the lightsaber always converged perfectly within the sword's body, without leaking even the slightest trace.

Robert's speed was astonishing—far beyond what ordinary people could even perceive.

Apocalypse's speed wasn't slow either.

"Young people these days have no sense of martial ethics."

"Ambushing someone is not a good habit," echoed Apocalypse's voice from the distance.

Robert looked ahead and saw that Apocalypse had vanished. In his place now stood the White Queen, her entire body turned into sparkling diamond.

Robert snorted coldly.

Diamond was indeed the hardest substance among natural minerals on Earth.

But to him, it was nothing more than that.

Robert raised the Green Lantern Ring, slashing directly at the White Queen.

She gleamed like a crystalline sculpture, radiating a dazzling light. Even in her diamond form, she maintained a degree of mobility.

She raised her arm to block Robert's attack.

Pfft!

The lightsaber sliced through her diamond arm as easily as cutting through butter.

Despite how effortless it seemed, Robert didn't show any pride in the attack—he merely narrowed his eyes.

"Apocalypse's enhancements are impressive."

"He actually reinforced ordinary diamond to this extent."

Although he had sliced through the White Queen's arm, Robert had used a significant portion of his power.

The outer diamond layer was strong, but the inner structure—her bones—was even tougher.

Had it not been for the immense power Robert unleashed, that strike would not have succeeded in severing the White Queen's arm.

She covered her arm as a glow flickered around it.

Then, before his eyes, the severed arm was reattached. She gently pressed on it, and it began functioning as if nothing had happened.

Robert raised an eyebrow.

"This one has quite a few tricks up her sleeve."

Apocalypse had granted her an incredible ability—to restore her body.

Could it be on par with Wolverine's regeneration?

"Interesting."

"You can reattach an arm... Let's see if you can reattach your head after it's been severed."

With a sneer, Robert rushed forward once more.

The Green Lantern Ring lit up with an intense glow.

If the lightsaber landed, he could very well slice his opponent cleanly in half.

But just as he was halfway through his charge, Robert suddenly stopped.

He sensed something approaching—something sharp and unexpected.

Twisting his waist mid-air, Robert reacted instantly, swinging his lightsaber in a sweeping motion.

A figure flickered and appeared at a distance.

"Red Devil. Nightcrawler's father."

Robert's eyes fixed on the red-skinned figure that looked like a demon.

"A mutant with teleportation ability. Truly annoying—like a mosquito," he muttered.

Even with Apocalypse's enhancements, Red Devil's raw strength wasn't remarkable.

But his teleportation ability lacked any prior warning.

His capacity to disrupt and paralyze opponents was his most annoying trait.

While not strong in combat, his interference tactics were dangerous.

He had just interrupted Robert's devastating strike.

Only two of them trying to take on Robert?

"They really are underestimating me," Robert growled.

"Mental abilities won't work on me."

A powerful mental field suddenly surrounded Robert.

The White Queen and Red Devil both had psychic powers—enhanced by Apocalypse—that could be fatal to ordinary people.

Realizing that physical attacks might be ineffective, the two launched a coordinated mental assault.

Unfortunately, they had no idea who they were dealing with.

Whether it was the Green Lantern Ring or Nabu's divine power, both provided Robert with terrifying mental resilience.

Even Professor X might not have succeeded in mentally influencing him.

And these two? Half-trained at best?

Robert activated his mental defense, and his psychic force surged outward with devastating effect.

The air itself seemed to ripple visibly.

Just like the berserk Black Phoenix, Robert's psychic force bent reality itself.

Even together, the White Queen and Red Devil could only barely withstand his power.

Under such pressure, their movements became sluggish.

"Heh."

"Now we're even."

With that, Robert raised his lightsaber and advanced again.

From his posture alone, it was clear—if he reached them, the White Queen and Red Devil would surely die.

But just as he was about to strike, the space beside him shimmered.

"Careful!" Magneto shouted from a distance.

Magneto's warning came quickly, but Robert had already sensed the danger.

From the moment the spatial disturbance appeared, Robert had been alert.

Without hesitation, he slashed toward the distorted area of space.

The Green Lantern Ring's blade cut through the very fabric of space itself.

The enemy emerging from the portal walked directly into the blade's path.

It was as if he hadn't come to ambush Robert—he had come to die.

The attacker was a towering figure, at least two meters tall and extremely muscular.

A flash of terror overtook his face as he realized what was happening.

But having already emerged from the portal, it was too late to dodge.

Robert's lightsaber pierced straight into the man's chest.

A surge of purple energy erupted from the man's body, absorbing nearly half the impact.

Yet, it wasn't enough.

He was still grievously wounded.

Robert raised his leg and kicked, sending the man flying over 100 meters like a rag doll, crashing heavily to the ground.

He didn't move.
