Felix Harland is a rabbit shifter from a too-big family. Without any means to support himself through medical school, he has been learning how to heal using the library. The problem with that? Felix doesn't have a license to heal anybody. 
Yet, his dream is to heal people, so he goes on an adventure that will see him find miracle cures and delve into something he did as a side hustle: alchemy and rune crafting. 
And, if he finds the enigmatic cat shifter Edward along the way, who will earn him more than one patient, that was fate. 

The Hedge Healer

After an uneventful quest, where they had to just sit on their asses, and make sure some herbs didn't dry out in a garden, the four went back to the barracks. 


"I didn't expect this to be the job. I mean, Felix did all the work. Neat trick, using water balls with a timer, so the herbs can be fed drop by drop," Patrick said, turning to look at Felix. 


The three of them, Edward, Antonine and Patrick himself, had just read the entire time. There was no space where they could practice what they had learned, but that didn't stop them from trying to improve. Besides, there was an entire week between this quest turn in, and the next quest. 


"We can always go to the Emporium, and get something while we are supposed to rest," Edward suggested. While it wasn't illegal for adventurers to freelance, most of them didn't go to the Emporium during break times. 


"Is this how you worked, before?" Patrick asked, and Edward nodded.
