Felix let out a sigh when Mathew and he finished for the day. Births, Felix supposed, were something he would be a master at, once the week was over with. Mathew had even let him wipe the brow of the mother this time, as he had guided her into the birth.
The bunny shifter knew why he was still just helping, and not doing something more. He had never read about births, during his scramble to teach himself healing. If the mother knew that the person who was helping her knew nothing about what she had to do, she would panic. Felix didn't know what would happen then, but he could guess.
"I think you are ready to try on a doll," Mathew said, and pulled one out of his bottomless bag. He had bought it for Felix, and Felix blanched, when he saw the bulging stomach. "This is the standard model. You will learn how to push mana inside so that you can help the mother push the baby out."
"What is it made of?" Felix asked, looking at the doll with a guarded gaze.
