Among the second-class family students in the college, the Xu and Lin family students were close to each other, while the Jie family students remained neutral.
However, this didn't mean they didn't have conflicts with each other.
The first-class family students, on the other hand, held most positions. For instance, Bai Wanxue from the Bai family was the school secretary, given her uncle's position as school chairman with many social connections in the lower plains.
Gu Xiaoyu from the Gu family was the Student Council President, while Zhou Leng was the vice president, with his brother as the school principal, thanks to many pulled strings.
The last position was blank, but it was rumored that the student was very strong in martial arts, with a cultivation realm at the first level of Foundation Establishment. It was also said that he rarely got involved in irrelevant things, which was why the first-class students were well-managed.
"Foundation Establishment at a young age... that's quite a talent seems that idiot yanfan thinks the large sum was what got him at the top" Tang Yan thought to himself.
"So, what are you guys doing here, spying into the vicinity like watchdogs?" Tang Yan asked, noticing Yan Fan and Fu Chen lurking around.
Yan Fan's face turned ugly at being called a watchdog, but he couldn't retort, since the person standing in front of him was a strong person, and he didn't want to suffer another humiliation.
But Fu Chen wasn't like him. "Bastard, what's with you butting into our business? Haven't you tormented us enough yesterday? Damn it!" he exclaimed.
"Common, if it's something fun, I don't mind butting in, and I'll put aside our differences. But if it's not, I'll beat you up," Tang Yan laughed.
"Bastard, see what you've got us into with your big mouth!" Yan Fan said, slapping his thighs.
The school gate creaked open, and a beauty walked out. She seemed like she had just had a shower, and her blue tracksuit was very neat, along with her red lips, making her look sexy and mature.
"Is this what you guys were waiting for?" Tang Yan asked with a playful smile.
"Sure, my boss has had a crush on her since she came to this place, so it's his regular routine to check after her whenever she leaves the school at night, just to enjoy the view of such purity," Yan Fan replied.
"Toad trying to eat a swan, did you think that a kid of that level would look at a trash like you? Seriously, put down the fantasy and chase after another kid. You might not feel it, but there's an air of arrogance around her, so just forget it. Take it as advice from an experienced older man," Tang Yan said in an old man's tone, smirking.
Yan Fan and Fu Chen wanted to beat him up so much that their bodies were trembling.
"Who the hell are you calling a kid? Just because you're older doesn't make you experienced. You _expletive_, I doubt you yourself have ever been interested in a girl, considering that vengeful character of yours," Fu Chen thought, but didn't dare say out loud.
"You guys should watch what I'm about to do next," Tang Yan whispered, walking towards the figure in front of him.
Feeling the presence of someone near her, the figure took a fighting stance.
"Hello there," Tang Yan said, appearing behind her like a ghost.
She threw a strong punch towards his lower waist, along with a kick to the calf after punching. The young lady continued throwing punches, not minding a sport, in which she hit. She suddenly stopped after realizing that all her moves were being guarded against by Tang Yan.
"Are you... who are you?" she asked, panting heavily, trying to catch her breath.
Tang Yan, instead of answering her, raised his leg and put it towards her arm, trying to measure his own combat strength. Although the kick contained a little bit of power, it wasn't enough to break her bones, as it intended to test only a little bit of her strength.
She raised her hands, trying to catch the kick, but was surprised as she was pushed a few meters away, hitting her back against the nearby tree.
"I guess you should be the mayor's daughter, judging from the similarity in Qi. As far as it goes... it's dangerous for you to be outside alone at this time of day!" Tang Yan said, dusting his clothes as he adjusted his breathing.
"Who are you, and why did you sneak up on me?" she asked, with an ugly expression, as she wiped away the blood leaking out of her lips.
"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that you should get that arrogant air away, because it will get you into big trouble. Don't think that just because of the little martial arts you've learned, you're strong enough to guard against sneak attacks.
If someone at my level, who doesn't have Qi, were to attack you, you would be beaten up to the point of death. If this goes on then you might end up being in a struggle against a lowly ghost" Tang Yan advised, leaving on his own as he merged into the darkness of the night.
Yan Fan and Fu Chen were left shocked by this scene, although they knew that Tang Yan was very unpredictable. None of them had factored in that he would be very harsh on a beautiful lady.
"My name is Luo Chenxi. What's your name?" she asked.
"Tang Yan," he replied with a fading voice.
Luo Chenxi's eyes narrowed, trying to remember the name. She had never heard of anyone with that name before, especially not in their school.
