18. The Confession

Immediately I stepped into the room, I knew that minutes that I had wronged her again. I closed the door behind me as I stepped slowly into the room. She was standing at the window with her back to me but I knew she could sense me.

I approached her tentatively as I couldn't fathom how I had offended her. If only my parents didn't show up at the premiere and requested to meet me, I would have been here with her and prevented any problem that might arise between us...

I could still remember my dad's words as he was getting into the car that will take them to the airport.

“ Whatever is it that you have with that girl. Break it off. I'm not losing that investment remember that, young man ” He had called to me while mom gazed up at us from the car watching us curiously. Does she know her husband is threatening me right now?
