Crimson Night of Bruswa

High above Holand City, capital of Bruswa, the blood moon bled its crimson light across the skyline.

Neve stood atop a skyscraper, silent and motionless, her white hair flowing in the chilled breeze of a country without Vandors. Beside her stood Ingress, arms crossed, eyes locked on the glowing red orb above them.

The silence between them was uneasy.

Bruswa, a long-time ally of Capriha, had no Vandors of its own. And so, members of the Astral Legion had been dispatched to fortify it.

Neve wore a radiant froststeel corset, etched in runes, its opaline hue shimmering faintly in the moonlight. Her black leggings were sheer and patterned with frost-vein trails that slithered up her thighs like creeping ice. Crystal bracers frosted at her fingertips. Detached sleeves flowed at her shoulders like snowfall. She was cold, regal… lethal.

Her eyes closed, lost in thought.

Ingress: "Why are you zoning out? Worried about them? Riah's with them. No vampire's gonna lay a finger on her."

Neve (softly): "You haven't heard, have you?"

Ingress (brows raised): "Heard what?"

Neve: "Kazimir and Riah went to Vrasnia. And… Mia is dead."

Ingress (tense): "What?! Was it a vampire?"

Neve: "No. She lost control. Killed someone in a breakdown… unleashed Zamas. Riah stopped it. Mia turned on her. She burned her down… with a single strike."

A heavy silence.

Ingress: "That's… another one gone. But we can't afford to lose that mistake of a Vandor—Kazimir."

Neve slowly turned toward him, her gaze cold as ice.

Neve: "Why do you hate him so much?"

Ingress: "Because he's not human. That energy—Imaginary Essence—it's not from this world. He should've been eliminated the moment he revealed it."

Neve: "He puts the world before himself, and it's breaking him. You see power. I see pain. He changed, Ingress."

Ingress: "He's the Eye of Nullity. Cursed by Nebula. You really think he won't destroy us one day?"

Neve: "And yet he fights against her. For us."

Her voice rose.

Neve: "You want the truth? You're jealous. You lost to him—twice. He never even wanted to fight you. You forced him into it. You're a bomb trying to challenge a black hole."

A sharp chime interrupted them.

Jessie's voice echoed through their comms.

Jessie: "Three ranked vampires have surfaced in different cities across Bruswa. I'm holding central. Neve, Ingress—take east and west. We're out of time."

Neve: "I'll head east."

Ingress: "Got it."

They launched into the sky, splitting directions.

Neve's Flight

Riding the wind, Neve contacted Gendai.

Neve: "Status check. You good?"

Gendai: "Alive. Three ranked vamps down. Tyrone and Lihanna are on the fourth. We're checking on Squad D—they went dark."

Neve (smiling): "Good work. I'm heading to east Bruswa. Stay safe."

She landed on the ruined streets of the eastern sector.

Screams echoed. Buildings burned. Vampires rampaged through the shattered city.

She didn't flinch.

Neve opened a country-wide broadcast:

Neve: "This is General Neve of the Astral Legion. All civilians, initiate lockdown protocols. Defense squads: retreat and engage your heating units immediately."

The wind died. Her boots hit the ground—ice formed under each step.

The first vampire lunged.

She didn't move.

Its body froze mid-air—then shattered like porcelain.

Her eyes opened, glowing bright blue, one of them radiating with a spiraling sigil of energy.

Neve (commanding): "My order… is absolute."

A pulse rippled across the entire country.

Vampires disintegrated. Buildings flash-froze. Fire turned to snow.

The entire nation of Bruswa was blanketed in stillness. Frozen silence.

Ingress POV

The sky just dropped ten degrees. Everything's... quiet.

That power—it's Neve. She just froze an entire damn country.

At least now, I only have to worry about the real threats. Thanks, ice queen.

Jessie POV

She did it without harming a single civilian…

That's Neve. Absolute, efficient, terrifying.

Let's end this, and bring everyone home.
