Chapter 2:You have to leave this place

Knock knock

A knock at the door at the door brought Ariel back to earth, she was completely lost in thought,

"Ariel you have to get ready and leave" nanny Sophie sighed softly "your family will still come looking for you here,you have to leave this city before they come,you can't hide like this forever "aunt Sophie said touching the softest spot of Ariel

"How I'm suppose to leave, what about my dad, what about the things I love all the memories, I'm I just suppose to give up and run away "Ariel said trying to hold back her tear

Aunt Sophie gave her a worried look and continue"they have the power and the money to win against you, for now you just have to go somewhere and hide, not just hiding but also regain yourself and get revenge on this bastards that has made your dad seriously heal"

"But aunt Sophie where I'm I suppose to hide my dad, they'll definitely want to put an end to his life because he might be an obstruction in their path"Ariel said while standing up to meet aunt Sophie

"I'll take care of that for now,you just focus on yourself....huh"

"But aunt Sophie yo....."Ariel was interrupted by a phone call "I'll be back" she said as she walked out of the room.

"Hello" Ariel answered anxiously because it has been the same unknown number that has been calling her and threatening her "hello..." There was still no reply from the other end of the phone

"I've you done what I asked you to do yet" the deep male voice on the other end asked

"No,I haven't,but I'm yet to do it" Ariel could not understand what this people wanted,all she knew was that they had proof of her dad doing illegal business and they threatened to upload it if she doesn't sign the agreement with her uncle. If she let that happen then the Arcus group of business will definitely crash and her dad will be in alot of trouble ,she knew this was her uncle doing

It's been six years since Ariel graduated from university, she worked with her dad but all of a sudden her dad fell ill,he was diagnosed of having defiant infractions and hardly remembered anything,on the other hand her dad's younger brother Ryan Arcus wants to takeover the busy so she receives call everyday and was always threatened to sign the property transfer agreement because nobody could find her father's will.Ariel didn't want to go but she had no other options.

"I've booked a flight for you, tonight you'll be going to Athens "

"If I leave don't you think things will get complicated "

"If you leave now your uncle will think you can't face him so you left the country for good,but right now I'm only asking you to leave for at least one year " aunt Sophie took a deep breath "Ariel when they said right now you were broken,they were right because you don't have anything or anyone to support you,all your families turned you down, no one is ready to stand by you, your dad's business is on hold because of his condition, your bank account has been frozen,so staying here is dangerous for you because your uncle might decide to kill you,and if he does he would definitely get away with it"aunt Sophie said to her

With everything Sophie said, Ariel was left in thought. Sophie was right leaving in this place is endangering her life as well as the life of her dad. She had too leave before something bad happens. But if she leaves this city how would she cope,she doesn't even know anybody in Athens,how would she get a job,how would she survive.

"I know what you're thinking" aunt Sophie interrupted Ariel's thought "I've definitely made arrangements for everything,You would leave with my cousin for now then maybe when you get a job you can move out " Sophie said smiling at her and go to her closet to park her things

"I really don't know how to thank you aunt Sophie,I really appreciate "Ariel said with tears swelling in her eyes

"Heyy.....,you don't have to thank me,no matter how grown you are I'll always be your nanny alright" Sophie said just to brighten up her mood "and when you are there you don't have to worry about anything I'll make sure I keep you updated with everything around here....okay??"

" Alright aunt, I'll go freshen up" Ariel said and walked towards the bathroom.

It was already 8:00pm,and Ariel had a flight at 8:45pm,she was ready but she sat down on the left sofa at Sophie's house,she stirred at the ceiling for sometime then looked down feeling really disappointed. She couldn't save her dad or his priorities, instead she was running away .

" I am really a good for nothing daughter"Ariel thought to herself then she heard foot steps, she knew it was aunt Sophie and that means it was time for her to leave.

"Ariel aren't you ready yet"Aunt Sophie said looking puzzled

"Yes,I am,we can leave now" Ariel said trying to hold back her disappointment.

"I know it's hard for you but just try at least for the sake of your dad" aunt Sophie said trying hard to comfort her

"I know aunt,I understand my goal, I'll leave now but I'll definitely come back for for my dad,and my return will mark the beginning of Ryan Arcus destruction, that's my promise " Ariel said it because she really meant it, she wanted to destroy Ryan and his accomplices, she wanted them to pay for everything they've done to both her and her dad.

"That's the spirit my girl, common we'll be late for your flight " Sophie said dragging her out of the room.

The journey to the airport was only twenty five minutes, Sophie drove the car while Ariel sat next to her looking out the window, she was completely lost in thought.

"Common Ariel,get down"Sophie said and smiled as she remembered something "you know when you were a kid,and your dad was taking you out of the country you will always cry and say you won't get down from the car, you'd say you want to stay with nanny Sophie,but now things have changed because you are a big girl who wants something.... Ariel never forget your goal,I want the destruction of Ryan Arcus to be your greatest ambition, you must destroy at all costs..... okay,now go and remember that I love you " Aunt Sophie said and got off the car, Ariel walked behind her thinking about what she just said,she was never going to forget it... never.

It was time for Ariel to go, Sophie couldn't hold it in any longer so she just cried and hugged Ariel so tightly leaving her no space to breath, Ariel just smiled and broke free from her hug

"I promise I will be,and I'll make you proud"she guaranteed then left

Her plane already left, Ariel just couldn't accept the reality of running away from her home because of her uncle, she planned to be a tough business woman like her dad. She had so many dreams and memories at Boston but she had to leave because of her uncle, she don't know why she felt this burning anger inside her,she knew it was hatred for her uncle and her entire family,she was definitely going to destroy them and she'll start with the things they loved
