DREAMS

Natalie, Ixora and I appeared back in my bedroom.

"You did well today, Emma. You too Natalie." Ixora said.

"Told you I could learn all three today." I replied.

"Just remember to keep you mind locked at all times, to avoid penetration."

I nodded. "I will." I held LIBER CUSTODES in my hands.

"Well, tomorrow is Saturday. I'll be expecting you both on Monday."

"Yeah sure." Natalie said. "A day off."

"But how do I teleport with someone?"

"Just hold the person's hand or the part of the person."

"Bye Ixora." Natalie said.

She didn't reply and was gone the next second.

"I'm leaving Emma. My mom might get paranoid if I'm not home early." Natalie said picking up her school bag.

I nodded. "Alright, make sure to come tomorrow."

"I can't promise, but I'll be here Sunday surely." She opened my bedroom door.

I nodded. "Bye." And she was gone. Poor Nat.

I was standing in front of an old cottage house. It looked abandoned, like it had been around for ages. I was confused why I was here. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't asleep and when I was done, the house in front of me was gone, instead it was day time and I stood on a path in the forest, the same place those shadow creatures from my dream had chased me. Why was I here? What brought me here?

I heard a loud shriek like the sound of a bird and I found myself waking up in bed, right in my room. I looked outside my window. It was till dark and it turned out it was my alarm that was ringing. It was time for my morning jogging. What was the meaning of that dream? I stood up to get ready. Ixora didn't tell me anything about having weird dreams. Although it's not my first.

"When will you be back dad?" Jose asked.

"I'll be back by next week." My dad replied while holding my brother.

"You'll have to get me more chocolates dad." Chloe said.

"Sure." He replied.

"I'll go drop your father off at the airport." Mom said wheeling his suitcase out of the front door. "Emma take care of your siblings."

"We're not babies" Chloe said.

"But you asked for chocolates." I said with a small scoff. Chloe just rolled her eyes.

"Dad I want to come to the airport too." Jose said tugging on my dad's shirt.

I rolled my eyes and relaxed on the couch knowing what was going to happen next.

"I'm coming too." Chloe said and walked out of the front door. Jose followed her.

I sighed and stood up. "Let's go dad." I said. I might as well follow them to the airport since Natalie wasn't coming over anyways.

After dinner, I went to my bedroom and freshened up. I needed to sleep. I went to my dresser were I kept LIBER CUSTODES on it. I opened the book right to the page about me. It was two lines written about me. It read: Emma Arnold. Youngest Guardian ever of both the Spirit Realm and the Human World.

I smiled a little and laid on my bed. A few seconds later I slept off.

I saw the house again. This time I heard a voice calling my name. I looked around but I didn't see anyone. The voice called out again telling me to enter the house. As I made a step towards the house, I saw myself around the forest path.

"Follow the path, find me." I heard the voice say again. I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I didn't understand anything. Who was I meant to find?

"Hey girl." Natalie said walking into my bedroom that Sunday afternoon. It was 12:30pm.

"Hey Nat." I said with a smile.

"Got here as fast as I could." She said. "I figured out a solution."

"Really?" I asked. "What's this?"

"Well, it's easy. The voice said find me. Let's go to that forest path, follow it and find out whatever it is we're looking for, then we return and tell Ixora our findings." Natalie said. She looked excited. This was not an adventure. It could be dangerous and I'm unsure about this.

"I'm not sure about this Nat."

"Come on. Trust me. Plus, it will give you a small view of the Spirit Realm."

"Are you sure this is the right thing to do?" I asked again.

"Yes."

"Alright, but we won't teleport here. We'll have to leave the house to the shed so that no one comes in here to find an empty room."

Natalia nodded. "Nice idea."

I came down from my bed and wore my shoes. Then I opened my door and we both went down to the kitchen.

"Mom, Nat and I are heading out." I said.

"Sure. Have fun." She replied.

Nat and I ran out of the front door and took a de tour to the shed. Once we were in, I held Hat's Hand and closed my eyes to teleport.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Sure."

I raised my hand with my destination in vivid view, I swiped my hand in the air and we were gone.

We appeared in the forest path, I looked around, it was the same in the dream.

"I don't get it." I said to Natalie.

"You don't get what? Are we in the wrong place?" She asked.

"No, no we are in the right place, but my destination wasn't the forest path, it was the house."

"You did say the voice told you to follow the path, not land at the house."

I exhaled. "You're right."

"Let's go then." Natalie said.

As we walked, I used the opportunity to take in the scenery. It was the same as my dreams. The perfectly spaced out tall tress which covered the surface of the ground from the sun, the little shrubs in between with fragrance of jasmine and sandal wood everywhere. Was this how the spirit realm was?

"Which way now?" Natalie asked.

We had come across two paths one went left and the other right. there was a signboard made out of wood with an arrow saying turn right and a red X-sign towards the left.

"Right." I replied. "We turn right."

We had only walked a few distance when I heard my name. The voice was the same as in my dream.

"Did you hear anything?"

"Huh? No. Did you?"

"Then it means we're close."

We continued walking until we had reached the end of the path and then we saw it. The house I had seen in my dreams. A long gravel driveway led to the house.

"Is this the house?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah sure." I dragged her hand. "Let's go."

"Hold on you didn't say anything about it looking abandoned."

"I know but we're here now."

"Okay." Her voice was unsure. Oh so now she sounds scared.

The gravel made crunching sounds beneath our feet as we walked towards the house. As we approached the house, I saw a stone grave by the house. I walked over it, there was no name carved on it, only R.I.P.

"Who doesn't put a name on a grave?" Natalie said.

"Same thing I was thinking." I bent down.

I placed my hand on the grave and suddenly I could see through it. I saw a skeleton with red hair. Like the hair was still a part of i's skull. I removed my hands immediately.

"What happened?" Natalie sked.

"I saw something, through the grave." I replied weakly.

"Let's go inside first, maybe we can get some answers."

"Alright." She replied and we stood straight and walked towards the house.
