Chapter 9 Gwen and Peter, About to Start High School Life
"Hey! Sheriff Stacy, I heard there was a Big Case, how about joining me for a drink?"
"Maybe next time, Jesse." George shook his head at his colleague's invitation. "I still need to check on the injured guys."
"How are they? Serious?"
"Not bad, at least they were conscious when they got into the Ambulance."
"If that's the case, then next time. Remember to bring me Safety."
"Will do, old buddy." After separating from his colleague, George arrived at the Locker Room door. Just as he was about to push the door open, he heard someone talking inside.
"Are you saying that Madmen who blew up a street was released on Bail?"
George paused his action of pushing open the Locker Room door.
"Yeah, I heard from my buddy who works at the Prison that an unspeakable big shot came and paid a sum of Bail and took the person away."
"FK! I really don't know if we are Police or Kidnapper, releasing people after getting some Money."
"You can say this kind of nonsense to me, but don't say it again next time. Sigh~ You'll get used to it after working for a while."
George gripped the door handle tightly, then pushed the door open and entered. The two people in the Locker Room immediately stopped talking when they saw someone come in.
"Sheriff Stacy." ×2 The two immediately greeted George when they saw it was him.
"Off duty, no need to be so formal." George waved his hand.
"Okay, Sheriff Stacy, we'll leave first, see you tomorrow." One of the Police officers said.
"Yeah, see you tomorrow." George went to his Locker, pretending he hadn't heard anything.
The two Police officers breathed a sigh of relief and quickly left the Locker Room.
The Locker Room door was closed, and the footsteps of the two Police officers became farther and farther away until they disappeared.
"Bang!" George's fist slammed heavily on the iron Locker, but in the end, George's fist still loosened powerlessly, and his straight back also bent down.
"What's wrong? Sheriff Stacy?" Luke sat on the Hospital bed, looking at George who was not in high spirits.
"Oh? Oh! It's nothing, just a little tired." George came back to his senses, rubbed his temples with one Finger, pretending to be sleepy.
Luke looked at the tired George and said with a smile, "Then don't stay with me, go back and rest early, I'm really fine."
After Luke finished speaking, he also struck a strongman pose, but the movement pulled at his wound, and it hurt so much that he grimaced.
"Really fine." Luke gritted his teeth and tried to look healthy.
"Okay, take good care of yourself, I can't do without a brave general like you." Looking at Luke's appearance, even George, who was not in high spirits, was amused by him. He got up and patted him on the shoulder, and then said goodbye to Luke.
Leaving the Hospital, George returned to his car, took out a Cigarette and put it in his mouth, and found that the Lighter was not in the Cigarette Case. He rummaged through his pockets, but couldn't find it either. He sighed helplessly and began searching in the car.
Opening the sun visor, a Photo fell onto his lap. His eyes softened when he saw the Photo.
It was a Photo of Gwen. In the Photo, Gwen was smiling and making a peace sign in front of the Drum Set. If you looked closely, you could still see her Tooth Gap.
"Gwen is going to High School in a while, I should prepare a Gift for her, oh right, and Peter that brat."
George stroked the Photo, his gentle eyes gradually became firm. He put away the Photo, put the Cigarette back in the Cigarette Case, George started the car and drove Home under the moonlight.
"A pair of new Drumstick should be good, Gwen will definitely like it."
"New Drumstick! You are so thoughtful, Habby!" Gwen looked at the Gift brought by Yang Le in surprise.
"It's good that you like it, I remember you said that you felt uncomfortable using the old ones, how are the new ones? Are they comfortable?" Yang Le looked at Gwen expectantly, waiting for her evaluation.
Gwen waved the Drumstick a few times, and the Drumstick flew up and down in her hand.
"Very good, it's like it's tailor-made for me." Gwen couldn't put down the new Drumstick.
'It is tailor-made for you.' Yang Le thought in his heart.
Of course, Yang Le didn't have this ability. It's okay for him to make chopsticks, but Drumstick this kind of difficult thing was of course entrusted to him after his Transformation into Alien.
Although Azmuth initially only gave him five Aliens, these five Aliens were reasonably allocated and could basically cope with most situations. They should have been carefully selected by Azmuth.
These five Aliens are Tetramand (Fourarms), Mansaluo Immortal Grass (Swampfire), Petrosapien (Diamondhead), Segmantasapien (Spidermonkey) and Planchaküle (Grey Matter).
Gwen's Drumstick was made of Mixed Materials made by Grey Matter. Although most of the raw materials came from Garbage, the toughness was tested by Fourarms. Ordinary humans can never break it.
When making Drumstick, Yang Le also felt that the Alien Gene was also affecting him. For example, Grey Matter always wanted to install some Laser Emitter in the Drumstick, even if Yang Le tried his best not to think about it, his hands would unconsciously modify it in that direction.
Fourarms is also like this, when doing tests, he kept arguing with Drumstick, obviously just need to test it with a little force, but he had to break the Drumstick.
Yang Le was exhausted for Drumstick. Of course, other Aliens also had an impact on Yang Le.
Swampfire gave him the feeling of Martian Manhunter from DC, very polite, and polite even when facing dangerous Criminal like Thriller.
Diamondhead and Spidermonkey had the least impact on him, among which Spidermonkey can be said to have no impact at all.
However, this influence is also gradually decreasing as the number of his Transformations increases.
"Hey, Habby! What are you thinking about? Did you hear what I just said?" Gwen patted Yang Le who was wandering in the sky.
Yang Le, who was still recalling the bloody history of Drumstick, was patted by Gwen and returned to his senses.
"What's wrong?" Yang Le looked at Gwen blankly.
"Gwen asked if you want to watch her play the drums." Peter explained from the side.
"Watch! Of course, I want to watch, when." Yang Le quickly said when he saw Gwen frowning.
"How about today? It just so happens that Uncle Ben is going to prepare a School Entrance Party for us, and Aunt May will make a table of Delicious Food, Habby, you come too." Peter looked at Yang Le expectantly, obviously looking forward to Yang Le attending the Party.
"No problem."
"Really, great, Uncle Ben and the others will definitely like you." Peter became excited after hearing Yang Le agree. Gwen was also very happy, but obviously not ready to let go of Yang Le who had just ignored her.
"Oh, that's really thanks to the big shot for gracing us with his presence." Gwen deliberately spoke in a strange tone. Yang Le smiled flatteringly when he heard it, and then quickly pulled Peter to talk.
"By the way, does Peter like the Gift I gave you?" Gwen looked at Yang Le who changed the topic, feeling a little helpless, and could only clench her fist and wave it to show her threat.
