“you fixed the races with out permission now you have Billy Kimber's attention, he already killed the poor girls mother as a warning, you have to bring that little girl somewhere safe” polly says turning to Tommy taking a pull of her cigarette as Tommy looks at her sighing and nodding his head.

”I know Pol, i know” Tommy takes a pull of his own cigarette “she will think I’m am abandoning her” Polly turned to her nephew

“make her understand why Tom” nodding he stood from the chair heading to the Lee camp to find his daughter. Jumping on his horse he rode to the Lee camp.

”Daddy” Tommy hears a little voice as he steps down from his horse watch his little girl run towards him. “Come here, come here” picking her up he settled her in his hip. “ we have to have a chat Lib” he told the little girl in his arms.

”about what dad” she asked “ well love I have to go away for a little while and you need to stay here where I know you are safe” immediately Libby wiggled from his arms running and screaming “No!” Tommy ran after her finally catching her.

”Libby Listen to me it’s only for a little while I promise you” he watched as tears fell from the little girls eyes “no I don’t want to” she pleaded to her father “ I know you don’t but I promise to you after it is all done I will come back and bring you home” Tommy started to feel his own heart break at the sight of his daughter.

” please don’t leave me here daddy” having nothing else to say and trying not to make this anymore harder on them he kissed Libby’s forehead and turned to walk away knowing this was the only thing he could do to make sure his daughter was safe.

Returning back Polly was waiting for him she watched as he through his hat on the table and sighed bringing his head into his hands.

“ how did she take it” his aunt asked “hard I had to walk away before I took her with me pol” Tommy told his aunt “ it’s only for a little while Tom she’ll be home in no time” his brother Arthur patted him on the back.

”yeah brother and when she does I’m getting a rematch cause she cheated last time” the family laughed at Johns words knowing that Libby beat him fair and square in that sicker match but John was to proud to admit he was beat by a six year old.

” right boys, and lady let’s take out Billy Kimber and bring my little girl home eh” that night the family made a date a Time and a place to make sure Billy Kimber was gone for good.
