In her hands, she cradled an outrageously large bouquet of roses.

It was drawing curious glances from passersby.

Sitting in my car, I witnessed this scene and couldn't help but let out a sigh.

Great, another perfectly good day about to be ruined.

I walked into the company, just about to pretend I hadn't seen him and walk past, when he suddenly ran straight towards me, clutching the flowers.

"Seraphina, good morning."

Liam's face beamed with a radiant smile, his eyes overflowing with tenderness.

Passersby stopped in their tracks, whispering among themselves.

"Wow, how romantic!"

"So they're for Ms. Carlisle, she's so lucky!"

"That guy is so handsome too! They're a perfect match!"

The exclamations of wonder rose and fell around us, but to me, it was just noise.

I coldly swept my gaze over the gawking crowd and said sharply:

"If you don't want to work, come to my office and hand in your resignation!"
