His hand wandered downward, his cheek drawing close to my lips, poised to kiss me.
"I don't like it! Don't touch me!"
Archer's closeness and touch made me feel sick. I fought back the urge to vomit rising in my stomach and pushed away his hand that was misbehaving at my waist.
I hastily pulled out the divorce papers I had prepared earlier from the drawer and handed them to Archer.
"Let's get a divorce. I wish you and Scarlett all the best in rekindling your relationship."
Archer didn't even look at the divorce agreement. He snatched it from my hand, carelessly crumpled it into a ball, and tossed it into the trash can.
"Is my little kitten jealous?" His fingers toyed with my hair as he teased.
"I have been paying more attention to Scarlett lately, but when managing such a large business, it's common for me to be diplomatic in the business world."
"You know I want to acquire that vacant lot from the East End Stone family to build the largest theme park in Asia. But that old fox Ms. Stone refuses to budge. Winning over her daughter Scarlett is the breakthrough for this deal."
Archer animatedly described his future plans, but I didn't think a business acquired through physical means was anything to be proud of.Archer finished speaking with lingering interest, patting my head.
"I've explained everything clearly. Don't be upset anymore."
I turned my head away, avoiding Archer's touch.
"I'm not upset with you. I really want a divorce."
Anger surged across Archer's face, as if his previous patient explanation was the utmost tolerance he could show me.
He stood up straight, his shadow completely enveloping me, the man's intimidating presence overwhelming.
A cold smirk appeared on Archer's lips. "What kind of joke is this? You want to divorce me?"
"You should think about how everything you have, from head to toe, was given by me. Without me, what are you worth?"
This was the first time since we met that he had spoken harshly to me, inadvertently revealing his true thoughts.
I was simply a puppet he had crafted with his own hands, meant to be loyal to him, love him deeply, and provide him with abundant emotional value.
I wasn't supposed to be dissatisfied with his so-called "social obligations," nor was I to upset his mood by threatening divorce.
I stood up in anguish, retrieving my already packed suitcase from the closet, intending to leave this place tonight.
Archer stepped forward and roughly snatched the suitcase from my hand. He forcefully stomped on it, causing the suitcase to burst open and spill all the clothes.
"You want to run away from home, but all the clothes you're taking were bought by me."Archer said sarcastically.
He frantically took out scissors from the vanity and began shredding the expensive clothes one by one, muttering, "I'll cut them all to pieces. Let's see how you'll leave now."
Trembling all over, I took off the dress I was wearing and searched for my old college clothes at the bottom of the wardrobe.
Archer grabbed me by the waist, threw me roughly onto the bed, and loomed over me with bloodshot eyes.
"You're mine. Don't even think about leaving," Archer said as he forcefully kissed me.
He ravaged me like a wild beast, while I frantically pounded against him. I bit down hard, tasting blood in my mouth.
No matter how much I struggled, Archer remained unmoved.
Exhausted from fighting back, I closed my eyes in despair, just wishing for the night to be over quickly.
To our surprise, when Archer pulled down his pants, he was wearing a pair of black lace women's underwear.
We both noticed the panties at the same time, and he froze.
"Ahem... I was in a rush this morning. I must have put on your underwear by mistake."
