Chapter 7

I recall everything now - why my left eye was injured, why I lost my memory, and about my child who died so young.

It turns out the sweet moments together were all an illusion. Reality has cruelly shattered my beautiful dream.

My body swayed, and I had to steady myself against the wall to barely stand upright.

Scarlett sat in the chair, looking at me askance. "You've recovered quite well. Looks like Archer has been taking good care of you lately."

"I heard you lost your memory. You're faking it, aren't you? Trying to get Archer's attention, make him feel more sorry for you."

"Is that really fun for you?" She toyed with the Blue Diamond necklace around her neck. "He loves me. You should know your place and get lost already."

"You're right, it's not very fun."

"Don't worry, I'll leave."

I lowered my head, burying my face in shadow as I spoke in a muffled voice.
