Archer rushed to intercept me, dropping to his knees directly in front of me as tears streamed down his face.
It was my carelessness that allowed Archer to trace the address of the account I'd used for payments, leading him right to me.
"Melody, come back home with me. I can't live without you."
Archer clutched tightly at the hem of my pants, his appearance utterly heartbroken.
But love that comes too late is worth less than grass, and there's no going back now.
"I'm happy and fulfilled every day now. I don't want to return to how things were before."
"Please let me go, and spare yourself too. Let's stop torturing each other and look to the future."
I refused without hesitation, but Archer still wouldn't release his grip on my pants.
"Whether you want to study or work, I'll support you. Just don't leave me. I can hand over the company's affairs to the general manager and stay here to accompany you while you study."
