"Alaric! If you dare to leave, I'll have you removed from this international competition!"
I snickered, looking at Seraphina who was making threats.
"Do you really think this is New York City where you can control everything?"
Seraphina's forced bravado immediately deflated.
My gaze swept over both of them as I continued.
"What makes you think I would forgive enemies who tried to sever the tendons in my hands and crush my dreams of flying?"
"Enemies......"
They both mumbled simultaneously.
Then their eyes were filled with a shattered look.
It seemed they hadn't expected me to categorize them as enemies.
"Alaric, we didn't mean it, we just wanted to scare you......"
"Yeah, yeah, just wanted to scare you."
I repeated mockingly.
"Scare me?"
As I finished speaking, my tone suddenly rose several degrees as I shouted.
"When you had those thugs tie me up back then, how did I beg you? Have you already forgotten so quickly?"
