The call

Andrew stood still in his office, his gaze fixed intently on Sharon and Jake, observing the subtle but undeniable chemistry between them. There was something about the way they interacted—a tension, an ease, a familiarity that he couldn't ignore. He felt it the moment Jake entered the room, the way the two exchanged glances, the small, almost imperceptible smiles they shared. It was obvious that their connection went deeper than simple friendship.

"Ehmm... sir, this is Mr. Jake Washington, the one I was telling you about," Sharon said, breaking the silence as she gestured toward Jake. Andrew's eyes lingered on Jake for a moment longer than necessary. Jake, sensing the scrutiny, wondered why Andrew was staring at him so intently. He stood up, extending his hand for a handshake, and Andrew accepted the gesture with a firm but measured grip.
