Chapter 20: He pulled her into the dark compartment of the restroom...

When Melody Parker sat down, she saw everyone looking at her as if they'd seen a ghost, and she asked in confusion, "What's wrong with you all? Is there something on my face?"

The crowd grumbled internally: There's nothing on your face, but why didn't Director Davies reject you? Why didn't he splash the drink on your face? Or just throw you out?

The crowd was stunned and quickly retracted their gazes.

Seeing everyone look away, Melody Parker didn't mind, took another sip of her drink, and chatted casually with Malcom Moore for a while.

After that, feeling a bit overheated, Melody looked apologetically at Malcom, "I'm sorry, Young Master Morris, I need to step out for a moment."

After saying that, Melody gracefully stood up and left the room, heading to the restroom outside the private box.

What Melody didn't know was that just as she left, Adrian Davies followed closely behind her.

Malcom Moore: "Adrian, where are you going?"

Adrian Davies coldly tossed out two words, "Smoking!"

"Smoking? Can't you smoke here?..." Malcom watched as Adrian left and closed the box door again, his charming and unruly face full of confusion.

After a long while, Malcom concluded, "Adrian is acting really strange today!"

Upon washing her face with cold water and stepping out of the restroom, Melody Parker immediately saw Adrian Davies standing not far from the restroom.

The man had a tall and straight figure, wearing a finely tailored black handmade suit, exuding a restrained sensual aura.

He stood there quietly, a cigarette held between his long fingers, smoking.

The crisp sound of high heels hitting the ground accompanied her approaching voice, "Director Davies!"

Adrian Davies discarded the cigarette butt, and as Melody Parker approached him, he swiftly reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her into one of the toilet stalls in the men's restroom.

Melody was stunned throughout, not even realizing what had happened before Adrian had pulled her in.

Adrian's dark eyes coldly stared at Melody, aggressively questioning, "Tell me, where did the scent on you come from?!"

Melody twisted her wrist, still held by Adrian, frowning in displeasure, "Director Davies, what are you doing? You're hurting me."

Adrian then realized he'd been holding Melody's wrist all along.

He quickly let go, coldly staring at Melody, waiting for her response.

Rubbing her reddened wrist, Melody answered Adrian's question, "Natural, I've had it since birth."

Adrian didn't ask further.

He looked down at her, scrutinizing the woman rubbing her wrist, coldly and disdainfully admonishing, "You're quite adept at sed—ucing men, aren't you? In just a moment, you've managed to ensnare Malcom, hmm?"

"How did I sed—uce Young Master Morris?" Melody raised her head, momentarily puzzled as she looked at the man close enough to touch.

"Are you sure you didn't?" Adrian pressed in on her.

At such a close distance, every exquisite feature of the man's face, seemingly carved to perfection by the hands of God, was starkly clear to her eyes.

His hair was glossy and neatly trimmed.

His skin was smooth, and even the pores seemed tantalizingly criminal.

Adrian was so close to Melody.

The refreshing and pleasant scent from him flooded Melody's senses.

This man really was! Melody only felt that her barely cooled body was starting to heat up again.

Yet she showed no sign of it, instead responding with a cold, clear smile.

Her intense gaze fixed on Adrian, she firmly stated, "No, I have never sed—uced Young Master Morris!"

"Still denying it?" Recalling the previous interaction between Melody and Malcom in the private box, Adrian inexplicably felt a tinge of anger: "You were practically glued together, and yet you deny it!"

Melody: "..."

She felt wronged; she was clearly just having a normal conversation with Malcom Moore, wasn't she?

When did they get glued together?

Besides, even if she and Malcom were close, or even if she did sed—uce Malcom, what did that have to do with Adrian Davies?

Don't tell her he's jealous!

Seeing Melody's silence, Adrian assumed she was acquiescing and continued coldly, "Remember, the Davies Clan doesn't need models who sed—uce people around and behave out of line! Such artists affect our reputation! I don't care what you did before, but with the Davies Clan, you must follow our rules."

He then added promptly, "At least during the contract with the Davies Clan, you can't have too much contact with other men to avoid any scandal!"

"Other men?" Melody's dark, sparkling eyes intriguingly fixed on Adrian's extraordinarily handsome face, slightly smiling, "I don't think I've ever heard of such a clause in the Davies Clan's contracts, one that even controls who the contracted models associate with?"

Adrian's expression darkened, and he casually replied, "There's a lot you haven't heard of; it's a Davies Clan rule!"

"Oh... How come I don't remember the contract stating that models aren't allowed to have boyfriends?"

Melody's gleaming eyes swirled with subtle light, standing tall and closing the already narrow distance between her and Adrian by a few more inches, "Brother-in-law, I think it's perfectly normal to have a boyfriend as long as it doesn't affect work. Or..."

Adrian looked at Melody; her lashes were thick, and her delicate face, slightly flushed from drinking, still held a bright smile.

She was very close to him, very close.

So close that every pore on her face was clearly visible to him.

She was truly beautiful, so perfect that not a single flaw could be found on her.

Her brows were like distant mountains, her skin smooth like soft jade, her lashes thick and curling, her nose elegantly striking, her lips enticingly red...

A faint fragrance wafted from her body, lingering at his nostrils.

Adrian felt his entire body's blood flow reverse as he kept his gaze fixed on the woman.

At this moment, he wished he could bite the woman before him, or eat her up bite by bite, starting with those enticing red lips...

Adrian suddenly startled.

What was happening to him?

He had actually dragged a woman into the restroom to question her—something embarrassingly low he could hardly believe.

And not just that, he even...

Melody's clear and pleasant voice continued, "Or perhaps, when you say 'other men,' brother-in-law, you mean excluding yourself?"

Adrian: "..."

Melody laughed, seeing the man staring blankly at her, and her smile grew even brighter.

That alluring face enlarged and then enlarged again in Adrian's eyes.

Suddenly, Melody rose on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on Adrian's chin.

"Brother-in-law, don't worry, I won't let it affect my work. Of course, when I'm not working, you better not be too serious, as it's bad for your health!"
