Chapter 2 :First day at school ceremony

Then now, we find Iruma sitting between two demon students—one with round horns, and another with two crescent-moon horns.

Iruma thought, "Ugh, I feel so disgusted. But what can I do now... I just promised that old fo—"

He didn't even finish his thought when he heard the round-horned, fat ox-looking demon say something with malicious eyes, directed at Iruma.

Sniff.

Sniff.

"I smell something delicious."

Iruma thought to himself, "Ugh, just like how a demon should be—pathetic and disgusting." He then wondered if the smell-masking charm his new grandpa gave him had failed—"Did it not work? That's ..."

Then he see all demon standing , maybe they will now sing There anthem maybe .

"Humans, they are loved

For after all they taste so very good

Suck them dry, blood and plasma

Flesh and marrow, their whole brood

May the sound of our mighty wings as we fly

Bring you fear

Bow to us, we are demons

In your nightmares we appear

As we sing this song from our crimson-soaked lips

Now you know

Scream for us, we are demons

And to hell you all will go"

Iruma (flat, deadpan)

"...Hn."

(In his mind)

Iruma's Thoughts, "I'd rather sit here than entertain this nonsense."

(Suddenly, a teacher's voice booms )

Teacher, "Attention, students! Our illustrious principal will now address you!"

Iruma barely glances up, disinterested.

Iruma muttering to himself , "Let's see who this 'principal' is."

The grand doors burst open—there stands Sullivan, beaming.

Sullivan with poker face cheerful, "Iruma-kun! It's me, Grandpa~! ♡"

(Iruma's composure shatters.)

Iruma wide-eyed, voice cracking and thinking to himself , "HE— WORKS HERE?!"

" You see my beloved grandson Enrolling this school from now on , He is just so cute ."

Iruma said to himself that , " Nah he will not be standing"

But then, Principal Sullivan brought a picture, showing every student who his grandson was, and it was Iruma. Every demon stared at Iruma, and then his grandpa said goodbye to everyone, especially to Iruma.

---

"Ahh, now everyone is talking about me. That old man is sure to bring trouble for me," Iruma thought as he listened to the chatter around him.

Then the teacher said, "Okay, now let's proceed with the greetings from the freshman representative."

A boy with pink hair stood up. He was wearing a black dress shirt under a white waistcoat and an elegant white overcoat with gold trim, which complemented his gold-trimmed boots and white trousers.

He began walking toward the main stage. Many demons whispered about him, some saying, "Isn't he the top scorer?"

But suddenly, the teacher interrupted. "Instead, let's call our honor student Iruma to the stage!"

With a confused expression, Iruma stood up and walked toward the stage. He could sense ill intentions from some students, but he remained calm, not even slightly scared. However, he wondered what he would say next.

"Ahh, Grandpa hasn't given me anything to say. What can I do?"

Just then, a letter appeared on the table. Iruma grabbed it and saw something written on it: "Iruma-kun."

He opened the letter and began reading what was written. It was in demon language, but thanks to his grandpa's magic, he could now understand it.

"ABERUHAUKE TARUTODARI IUSABEBE RISUTORU ABURUZE SUTOMARU ABERUGE URU MAHORABA TSUREZAZA"

After chanting the spell and feeling the pressure from the students, the teachers called him out, asking why he had begun chanting a forbidden spell. Then the teacher warned that if he mispronounced or stuttered a single word, his four limbs would be blown off immediately, while his grandpa just sat there taking photos of himself.

Iruma thought to himself, "I didn't know that."

Many students were cheering for Iruma, saying he was so cool and that what he did was amazing. But one boy was grinding his teeth; it was none other than the pink-haired boy from earlier.

Then Iruma started walking toward the hall when a boy called out, "HEY!"

[COURTYARD]

Iruma approached because he wanted to hear what this student had to say. Suddenly, that pink-haired boy began shooting fireballs and shouted that it was his day.

"My name is Asmodeus. I was supposed to be the one to make the speech... But you relied on the principal and stole my position!"

He continued speaking, saying that not only had Iruma stolen his spotlight, but he also relied on his grandpa's favoritism. That's why he wanted to confirm whether Iruma was a worthy demon by battling him.

Iruma was surprised to find all the students watching them. The boy declared that everyone was a witness and that Iruma must prove himself by defeating him. Iruma thought to himself that he should first apologize to Asmodeus because it was embarrassing for him as well. [Because Iruma also has his own virtue of humanity: to sense other emotions, pain. ]

Asmodeus started throwing fireballs at Iruma. Iruma didn't even need his Sharingan eyes because he could clearly see the fireballs coming toward him, so he dodged them all.

Every other student rushed toward the courtyard, shouting:

"It's the class representative and honor student fighting!"

"He's coming! Let's watch their fight!"

"Who will die today?"

Every student began shouting *rAAAhhhh*; they were eager to see the fight.

Because of their battle, students were getting goosebumps, though they couldn't see due to the sand.

After throwing many fireballs, Asmodeus was tired and now on the ground. Iruma remained calm and composed, walking toward Asmodeus with his cloak floating behind him like a king.

He extended a hand to Asmodeus and said, "I apologize for doing something like that."

Some students started chattering that Iruma felt pity for Asmodeus.

Asmodeus then asked Iruma, "Do you feel pity for me?"

"No," Iruma replied immediately.

"If magic won't work, I'll use brute force."

"I will slice you!" Asmodeus roared, his voice burning with rage as he charged straight at Iruma.

But Iruma sidestepped the attack with ease, his eyes calm yet sharp. In that instant, both boys noticed something terrifying—Asmodeus was barreling straight toward a girl with bright yellow hair, standing frozen in shock.

Asmodeus' fury had blinded him. He couldn't stop.

But Iruma could.

With swift precision, Iruma dashed forward, scooping the girl into his arms and whisking her out of harm's way. He placed her gently on the ground, his voice soft yet steady, "Don't be scared, okay?"

Her face instantly turned crimson, and she sank to the ground, speechless. Around them, gasps filled the air. The crowd of students erupted, shouting Iruma's name—some in awe, others in envy.

"Did you see that?"

"He's so cool!"

"Why does he get to hold her!?"

But Iruma didn't even glance their way.

His gaze was locked on Asmodeus.

"I was hoping we could talk," he said coldly, his voice sharp like glass.

"But you're disgusting."

The students went wild. Their golden honor student had spoken. Loud cheers echoed through the hall.

Asmodeus, still catching his breath, suddenly felt something strange. A pit in his stomach. Guilt? Shame? His pride wavered for the first time.

Then—a flicker of danger.

Iruma's hand moved to his sword.

Time seemed to freeze for a moment.

Then a crack of power.

A streak of violet lightning surged from the blade as Iruma dashed forward.

Asmodeus had never felt it before—fear. Real, paralyzing fear.

But just as Iruma's sword neared its mark, it was caught.

Stopped.

A hand gripped the blade with terrifying ease.

Standing between them was Naberius Kalego.

The gust of power from Iruma's charge swept through the area like a storm, rattling every student to silence. Even Kalego's cloak fluttered in the sudden wind.

Asmodeus was flung backward from the shockwave, hitting a wall with a dull thud. His mana, already drained, gave out entirely.

He slumped to the floor... and blacked out.

Then, without warning, Kalego's demonic aura surged to life—a massive yellow Cerberus growled behind him, snarling with rage.

With terrifying ease, Kalego grabbed Iruma by the face and slammed him into the ground.

"Sit down," Kalego muttered coldly. "Know your place."

The courtyard fell into dead silence.

The students, who were cheering just seconds ago, now stood frozen like statues.

No one dared speak when Professor Naberius Kalego made a move.

Later… inside the principal's office…

Iruma stood beside Asmodeus, arms crossed, saying nothing.

Kalego stood across from Principal Sullivan, clearly annoyed.

Kalego spoke in his usual tired growl, "I was stopping them from causing further chaos. If they broke each other on day one, you'd be dealing with paperwork, not just noise."

Sullivan, still completely poker-faced, replied, "Be that as it may… you did slam a student's face into the ground."

His expression suddenly turned warm and doting as he waved his arms, "Iruma-kun, you were soooo cool out there! Come to Grandpa!"

He flailed his egg-like hands joyfully.

Iruma looked away, sighing. "That was unnecessary," he muttered under his breath.

Just then—a sharp burst echoed as the door swung open with force.

Asmodeus walked in, but instead of making a scene, he immediately knelt before Iruma.

"About our duel," he said solemnly. "I hold no resentment. I was defeated… and you showed mercy."

Iruma's eyes widened. "...Wait, what?"

"I swear loyalty to you from this day forth. I shall become your servant. I will follow you—to support your rise in this academy, Iruma-sama!"

Iruma blinked, baffled. "What kind of messed up tradition is this?"

Sullivan laughed from behind his desk. "Demon honor. Gotta love it!"

He already had his laptop out. "Say cheese! This is going on the school website!"

Asmodeus turned to Iruma with shining eyes. "We shall cleanse this academy of fools, starting now. Who is our first target?"

Iruma's expression tightened. He looked away and muttered, "Tch... I didn't ask for this."

But there was a small smile hiding at the corner of his mouth.

Next day…
