Paragon drifted awake to the measured rhythm of a heart monitor and the antiseptic sting of a hospital room. His body felt like it had been through a hurricane—muscles bruised, ribs aching, a dull burn tracing a line across his chest where the energy whip had caught him.
He blinked, vision sharpening. Titan stood by the window, arms folded, gazing out at the city skyline. The big hero turned at the sound of movement, relief flickering across his face.
"You're awake," Titan said, stepping closer. "About time."
Paragon tried to sit up, but a sharp pain in his side made him wince. "Feels like I got hit by a truck," he muttered.
"More like a spaceship," Titan replied with a wry smile. "You were found on a deserted island. The medics said you were lucky to be alive."
Paragon's mind replayed the fight: Kharon's eyes burning with vengeance, the prince's hands crackling with alien energy. "Kharon was stronger than I expected. He fought with everything—energy blasts, a whip made of light. I barely kept up."
Titan's brow furrowed. "You stopped him, though?"
Paragon nodded, his expression grim. "Barely. But before he went down, he said this was only the beginning. That more are coming. He wanted me to deliver a warning."
Titan exhaled, jaw tight. "We'll need to be ready. The city's safe for now. I managed to keep the ship from crashing—sent it back into orbit. But if there's more like him out there…"
"There are," Paragon interrupted, his voice steady despite the pain. "And next time, they won't underestimate us."
The room fell silent for a moment, the weight of the threat settling between them. Outside, the city was waking up, oblivious to the storm that had nearly destroyed it.
Titan finally broke the silence. "Rest up, Paragon. We're going to need you at full strength. Halcyon's greatest protector can't afford to stay down for long."
Paragon managed a tired smile. "Don't worry. I'll be ready."
But as he closed his eyes, the memory of Kharon rang through his mind.
It then cuts to 1 day later, and we see paragon can walk thanks to his healing factor and the hospital, he goes up to aeeting at the heros center, where he proposes, to go out into deep space, and find the life forms who were responsible, and end them before they can destroy wverything
## One Day Later: Paragon's Proposal
Paragon's healing factor, combined with advanced hospital care, had him back on his feet within a day—his wounds from Kharon's energy whip and blasts already closing[2][3]. The hospital staff marveled as he walked the halls, determined and focused.
He made his way to the Hero Center, where the top heroes had gathered in a tense, crowded meeting room. The air was thick with worry and speculation about the alien attack.
Paragon stood before them, his voice steady. "We can't wait for the next invasion. Kharon warned me—there are more out there, and they won't stop until everything we know is gone."
He looked each hero in the eye. "I propose we take the fight to them. We go into deep space, find those responsible, and end this threat before it reaches our world again."
The room fell silent, the weight of his words settling in. Paragon's resolve was clear: Earth would not be caught off guard a second time.
Paragon was walking through the medical wing of the Hero Center, his steps steady. The bruises and burns from the fight with Kharon were fading faster than expected, thanks to his healing factor and the hospital's advanced treatment.
A team of doctors ran routine scans, monitoring his recovery. One of them glanced up from the data screen. "Your vitals are stable. No complications."
Paragon nodded. "Good. How long until I'm fully ready?"
The doctor checked the schedule. "If you keep progressing like this, a couple more days."
Nearby, engineers were working on a new suit designed specifically for deep space. It was lighter than his usual armor but reinforced to handle extreme environments and equipped with life support systems. Paragon examined the prototype, testing its flexibility.
"This will have to do," he said simply.
In the briefing room, Paragon sat with the other heroes and strategists. Maps and intelligence reports were spread out before them.
"We can't wait for the next attack," Paragon said. "We need to find whoever's behind this and stop them before they reach Earth again."
Titan looked at him. "You're the best chance we have out there. We'll support you from here."
Paragon nodded. "I'll need everything ready—ship, gear, communications. No surprises."
The meeting ended quickly. Outside, the city went about its day, unaware that Paragon was preparing to leave it behind to face an unknown threat far from home.
