Chapter 92: Cerise Island

~Third POV~

[Kanto Region, Weeks Later, Mt. Silver – Mt. Silver Cave (Summit)]

Arriving at the Hot Springs, Azure notices Red training his throws as he grins. Upon arriving, Red informs Azure of the news in an excited tone, "Hey, Sky! I've finally healed up! I went to a higher elevation of the Hot Springs that seemed to have more excellent healing properties. It took a few days, but…"

*Swooosh*

Throwing a Poke Ball with pristine and perfect aim, Azure noticed. He grinned, seeing Red was back at 100% power as he replied happily, "I'm glad to see someone is back at 100% full health. But did you hear the news…"

Red looked confused as he checked his Rotom Phone. Checking the latest news his face hardens as his free hand clenches hard as he muttered, "Damn it! Those Elite Four have gone too far!"

For once, Azure agreed with Red's sentiment about the Elite Four's actions. Wanting to wipe out humanity, save for themselves and their allied Trainers. They felt that humans were destroying Pokémon and that only by killing all humans could the Pokémon be saved…

Azure knew their reasons but only scoffed as he mentally thought, annoyed, 'Tch. What a dumb reason. They're not wrong, but it's still a dumb reason.'

Adjusting his cap, Azure finally spoke up, getting Red's attention as he said calmly, grabbing a Poke Ball from his Boxes swiftly behind his back, "If that's the case, then I think it's about time for us to not hide any longer, right?"

*Pop*

Hurling a Poke Ball into the air, it opened to materialize a Pokémon. Materializing into form, levitating casually was an Alakazam.

Alakazam is a slightly humanoid Pokémon with a large mustache. A female Alakazam has a significantly shorter mustache than a male. It has a long, thin snout, narrow eyes, ear-like spikes extending from the top of its head, and an additional spike protruding from each cheek.

Covering its yellow, skeletal body are brown armor-like sections over its chest, shoulders, forearms, and knees. There are three toes on each foot, each with a white claw. Two of the toes face forward, while one faces backward. It wields a silver spoon in each hand, which acts as an amplifier for its psychic abilities.

Red blinked, somewhat surprised, as he asked, rubbing his head, "You have an Alakazam? It certainly makes traveling easier with its Teleport. But couldn't you do the same with your Arcanine?"

Azure chuckled at his question, shyly rubbing his head as he sheepishly explained himself, "Hahaha… fair point. But Alakazam can take us out of Mt. Silver to anywhere in Kanto while I have Arcanine in top form. Teleport is useful but extremely draining if used over long distances."

Red nodded, accepting Azure's explanation. Azure thought to himself in a serious tone, 'But still, out of all the Pokémon I focused on training during the past 2 years, were Abra, Kingdra, and Lapras. Beldum, Charcadet, Charmander, and Bulbasaur are still low-level level only mastering their moves. I've intended to raise those four with Squirtle now by scratch when I travel later…'

Shaking his head, he opened his Arc Phone as he mentioned to Red in a calm tone, "But before we do anything rash, we should probably inform the others – "

*BEEP*

Before Azure could finish his words, they both received a news alert. Checking their Arc and Rotom Phones, respectively, their expressions hardened, having received news that Cerulean, Celadon, Pewter, and other cities are being attacked.

Their eyes narrowed, knowing who the culprit was. Having no time, Azure called Blue as it took a few seconds before he finally answered in a surprised tone, "Sky! Where the heck have you been in – "

His words died there as he saw Red with them in disbelief. Slowly grinning, Blue smirked as he understood their disappearance, "I see you were helping Red recuperate from being frozen in ice. But it shouldn't – never mind. Seeing as you called, you noticed the situation on the news."

Red leans over, nodding his head, adjusting his cap, nodding understanding of the situation as he said in a determined tone, "Yeah. We've just received the news. Those Elite Four are gonna get it when I get there! I have some unfinished business with Bruno. Where are you at, Blue?"

Blue, currently riding to Cerise Island on his Golduck, replied coolly, keeping the conversation light, "I'll keep this light as our talks have probably been compromised. I'm heading to Cerise Island. I'll send you the coordinates to reach there. It would be helpful to have your help. Till then, smell ya later!"

*Beep*

Ending the phone call, they both received coordinates to Cerise Island. Cerise Island is a location in the Pokémon Adventures manga. It is located somewhere to the west of Cinnabar Island. The island is unmapped and almost unknown.

But thanks to Blaine sharing this knowledge with them and Blue already knowing this ahead of time, they were one of the few people who knew where the Elite Four was located. Both nodded as they held onto Alakazam's shoulders as Azure said in a determined tone, "I need you to make a long-distance trip to Pallet Town. We'll head over by sea or air from that point on. Ready Red?"

He smirked, having his Poke Ball ready as did Azure, with him responding confidently, "Heh. Who do you think you're talking to, Sky?"

Azure grinned at Red's cockiness as he muttered ordering his Psi Pokémon, "Heh. Just asking, but let's do this. Alakazam Teleport!"

*Shiii*

A blue light veiled the three as they teleported away under Alakazam's psychic power, "Ala! Alakazam!"

*Wooosh*

Instantly, they teleported away. The duo has now begun their trip to Cerise Island, where the final battle will occur...

[Kanto Region, Cerise Island]

As Red and Azure tried to reach Cerise Island, the Pokémon Army attacked. Some Pokémon armies are attacking Pewter City, and Cerulean City and Erika's city, Celadon City, have both been destroyed.

Erika is fighting off Ice-type Pokémon from Lorelei's army in Celadon City. In Cerulean and Pewter Cities, Misty and Brock are fighting against the Ghost-type and Fighting-type Pokémon from Agatha's and Bruno's armies, as yet another, larger army flies to Kanto, belonging to Lance.

Back on Cerise Island, Lance mutters, seeing the situation from his own Rotom Phone, "The Pokémon are becoming more restless. We'll meet again soon, Yellow! Your life will be your own, but only until that day!!"

*Beep*

Agatha, with Lorelei listening, grins wickedly as she receives news from intercepting a call from Blue spoke, getting Lance's attention, frowning as she said, "Oh? Seems like Blue made a call. Both Red and the Champion. And to make matters confusing, Red is back at full recovery."

Lorelei looked surprised as she narrowed her eyes in a defiant tone, "Full recovery? There's no medical science that could heal him from my Ice Hex."

Lance merely smirks, recalling the battle between them 2 years ago. He announced in a confident tone, slyly smiling, "Hmph. No matter. It just means we can accomplish our objective with their arrival."

*Beep*

Lorelei's Rotom Phone rang as she frowned, announcing to all in an annoyed tone, eyes glaring, "It seems our island has some visitors, Lance."

Lance, sitting on a smooth crystal rock, replied in a nonchalant tone, dismissing the intruders, "Again, no matter. By the way, where's Bruno?"

Lorelei explained that he was still searching for Red as Lance replied sternly, "Call him back right now! Tell him Red is coming to Cerise Island. In the meantime, I'll deal with the Ninth Pokémon League Champion myself."

Turning away to prepare for his battle, the rest of the Elite Four began their preparations. As they prepare for battle, the intruders finally arrive on Cerise Island.

Just as Lance marches forward, his battle against Azure, he slyly smirked as he muttered silently to himself, "Still… I wonder if you're strong enough to handle me, Champion. I won't lose to you. Hopefully, our battle will be legendary."

[Kanto Region, Cerise Island – Outskirts]

Blaine arrives on Cerise Island and sees a silhouette. Thinking it's Yellow, he asks in a confused tone, "I thought I told Yellow to come from the other side… wait a minute… that's not yellow!"

But as the shadow draws closer, he realizes it's Blue and his Golduck. He asks Blue in a surprised tone, "Blue! So you knew about this island too! Yellow should be arriving on the island soon. We're meeting on the west side, at the stalactite caves along the shore. This is great, Blue! With Misty and the others pinned down in their own cities… I thought I'd have to fight this battle with just Yellow!"

*Shp*

Blue then shushes him, and they hear someone talking in the cave. The voice is talking about how all the Gym Leaders are occupied, so Yellow and Blue will be able to fight.

Blaine shouts out to see if anyone is there, then he confronts them, calling them out, "Well… we were going to fight sooner or later! Look out, The Elite Four!"

Someone replies, finding it offensive and funny that Blaine would compare them to the Elite Four, "Elite Four?! Please, Blaine… don't insult us!"

Blaine then sees three Pokémon: Electabuzz, Muk, and Alakazam. He then sees their Trainers as he yelled in a startled tone, "It can't be!!! Team Rocket!!!!"

The Trainers were revealed to be Koga, Sabrina, and Lt. Surge, Team Rocket Admins. Blue yelled equally shocked, "Koga!! Lt. Surge!! Sabrina!!"

Koga grins, seeing his enemy as he greets them in a curt tone, arms crossed, "Heh-Heh-Heh, long time no see, Blue!"

Blue, his Golduck, and Blaine meet with Lt. Surge and his Electabuzz, Sabrina and her Alakazam, and Koga and his Muk. Blue asked in a demanding tone, "What are you doing here?! After the battle at Silph Co., I heard that they couldn't even find your bodies… then it was a trick?!!"

Sabrina snorts at Blue's words as she replies casually, keeping themselves on guard for any enemy, "Let's save the details for later. At the moment, I hear footsteps of our new guests… over there!"

Hearing the footsteps of another group that consists of Bill, Green, Yellow, and Pika. The group looked shocked as Lt. Surge says, "Well, hello there."

Green recoiled in shock as did the rest of her group. Green startled, blurted out, surprised, "Sabrina… Koga… Lt. Surge… Blaine… and Blue?!"

Blaine slowly approached Yellow's group as he asked curiously of Green and Bill, "I'm glad you got here safely, Yellow… but who are these two with you?"

Yellow introduces Green and Bill as people who came to help. She then asks who the other three were having been familiar with Blue as he trained her for a week.

It was when Blue chimed in a nonchalant tone with his arms crossed, stating casually, eyeing them cautiously, "Lt. Surge, Koga, and Sabrina… former members of Team Rocket. We've just met up here, too."

Listening to their words, Koga replied, shocking the group with their claim, "You want to know why we're here? Simple. We want to defeat the Elite Four, too. And that's all."

The Rocket Trio explained that after their defeat, they've been steadily rebuilding their forces since the battle at Silph Co. But when the Elite Four launched their attack on Kanto, this sprang them to action, taking down the Elite Four and showing them who's in control of the Kanto Region.

It was Sabrina who then said neutrally to an alliance, shocking the group, "You did come here to defeat the Elite Four too, I trust? If you promise not to get in our way, then just this once, we'll deign to work with you."

The group gulped, but it was when Blue then confessed sternly his purpose in an indifferent tone, "I came here for one reason… to nail this Agatha of the Elite Four with her grudge against my grandfather. That's it. If you give your word not to stand in the way, then I don't care what you do."

Sabrina nodded as she ordered her Alakazam, explaining the spoons of destiny, "Heh, so it's settled then. Alakazam!"

Sabrina's Alakazam then hands out Spoons of Destiny to pick battle partners. The battle plan is to face each of the Elite Four in groups of two.

The first pair is Yellow and Blaine, the second is Koga and Blue, the third pair is Sabrina and Green, and the fourth pair, both with unmoving Spoons of Destiny, is Lt. Surge and Bill. Lt. Surge laughs as he says, "If the pattern holds, I suppose my partner should be Red. But since he isn't available – "

*GWONG*

The Spoon of Destiny bent. All eyes turned to see where the Spoon bent, revealing Red casually smirking as he said, waving to the group, "Hey guys! Long time no see! Hi to you, too, Team Rocket!"

The group was surprised. But none so then Yellow and Pika as she yelled, "R… Red?!/Pika! (RED?! YOU'RE ALIVE!!!)"

Pika hurriedly ran over to Red with Blaine, asking in a surprised tone, looking at his healthy form, "Nani! I can't believe this! Red, you were frozen in ice, how – "

Blue smirked but noticed that Azure was missing as he asked bluntly, getting everyone's reaction except Red, "Heh. Took ya long enough buffoon. But seeing you're here, where exactly is Azure Sky?"

Red only smirked as he replied casually to the group listening to his words, "He said he'll greet Lance himself. He only said we'll be busy with our battles."

Yellow showed concern, as did Green. They both knew that only someone with Viridian Force could stand a chance against Lance Wataru…
