Chapter 101 Laboon
Reverse Mountain has a total of five waterways, of which four waterways have water flowing upwards towards the summit, making it exceptionally magnificent when viewed from a distance.
These four huge waterways connect to four different Sea Areas: East Blue, West Blue, South Blue, and North Blue.
The waterways originate from the Four Seas, converge at the summit of Reverse Mountain, and finally flow together through a massive waterway into the Grand Line.
To enter the Grand Line, apart from passing through the Calm Belt, the only way is to enter from Reverse Mountain. The location after entering is the starting point of the Ocean Current Route.
Reverse Mountain is the starting point of the Grand Line, and at the same time, it can also be considered the end point of the Grand Line.
This is also the place where Brook made an Agreement with Laboon back then.
And at the waterway exit flowing into the Grand Line, is Twin Capes.
This place is located at the end of the Ocean Current Route. On the cape mountains on the left and right sides, each stands a Lighthouse Building with the same appearance.
And because of this, this place is called Twin Capes.
However, the significance of the Lighthouse here is actually not great, because Ships entering the Grand Line waterway from the Four Seas only have one path forward.
At this moment, on the rocky ground below one of the Lighthouses, a small Round Table and Sun Chair are placed.
A middle-aged man wearing Glasses, a Headband wrapped around his forehead, and a Hawaiian Shirt is sitting on the Sun Chair, dozing with his eyes closed. On the Round Table beside him are placed a Cup of Cold Water and a folded Newspaper.
A sharp Harpoon placed at his feet represents that this person is not to be trifled with.
The middle-aged man's name is Crocus. In a few years, he will become the Ship Doctor of the Roger Pirates, but his current identity is the Lighthouse Keeper of Twin Capes.
At the same time, he is also the Doctor who cares for the Whale Laboon.
Crocus opened his eyes and looked towards the distance of the Grand Line.
"It's clear weather today, so why is there Thunder, and it's getting closer..."
Crocus quietly used Observation Haki, swiftly looking towards the direction from which the Thunder came, like a gentle breeze.
Although the power of Observation Haki at long distances will be greatly reduced, it is perfectly suitable for advance scouting.
"What the hell!"
Just as Crocus was trying to use Observation Haki to scout, an even more powerful Observation Haki instantly rushed in from the distance. The feeling was as if a gentle breeze had encountered a Hurricane.
"Someone remarkable is coming."
Crocus adjusted his Glasses and said softly.
"Boo-woo-woo-woo-woo~"
Suddenly, a huge shadow appeared on the Sea Surface not far away. Then, a huge Whale with a Head covered in scars revealed its Head and roared towards the distant direction.
"Laboon, have you sensed something?"
Hearing the Whale's voice, Crocus turned his Head to look at the Whale Laboon, thinking silently.
In the long time he has spent with Laboon, he has already been able to understand the general meaning in Laboon's calls.
Undoubtedly, the call from Laboon just now revealed a joyful tone.
Soon, Crocus finally saw clearly the source of the commotion in the distance. It was a huge Dark Clouds. Within the Dark Clouds, there was occasional lightning and Thunder, and above the Dark Clouds, there was a huge Ship riding the Dark Clouds forward. It looked just like a scene from Legend.
Soon, that Ship, like a Vehicle of a celestial god in mythology, seemed to have also discovered Crocus and slowly approached the direction of the Lighthouse.
This movement was naturally seen by Crocus. Crocus stood up from the chair, picked up the Harpoon stuck in the ground beside him, and watched the Large Ship getting closer and closer.
For a Lighthouse Keeper who can be stationed at Twin Capes, Crocus sees countless Pirates entering the Grand Line from the Four Seas every year. Among them, there are also some ferocious Pirates. Those Pirates with no discernment and ordinary Strength are directly smashed to pieces by Laboon's Ship, and those with stronger Strength are also dealt with by his Harpoon.
And as the Large Ship got closer and closer, Crocus also saw the figures on it.
"That kid, he looks a bit familiar."
Crocus thought for a moment, and couldn't help but glance at the folded Newspaper on the table.
"That's right, I saw a report about this kid in the Newspaper some time ago. I think his name was Albert Nicholas."
Under Crocus's gaze, the Ship, like a Sea King, docked and stopped.
Boom!
Accompanied by a loud landing sound, Nicholas, carrying a box containing the remains of the Rumba Pirates Crew member, came before Crocus.
"What business do you have?"
Watching Nicholas come straight to him alone, Crocus straightened his upper body, gripped the Harpoon in his hand, his expression serious, and invisibly exuded an awe-inspiring Aura.
Although his main profession is currently the Lighthouse Keeper of Twin Capes, and his secondary profession is part-time Doctor, it does not mean his combat Strength is weak!
You should know that back then, when two guys dared to enter the Grand Line from East Blue in a small Ship, he could fight two against one without being at a disadvantage.
Even that guy with the straw hat was impressed by his Aura and wanted to invite him to join his Ship.
If it weren't for Laboon at that time, he might have really agreed. After all, being a Lighthouse Keeper at the cape for too long is also a bit boring.
Nicholas looked at the Aura that Crocus had built up, and couldn't help but take a few more glances. Obviously, there are not many simple Doctors among the Pirates, and it seems that each one is more capable than the last.
Just based on this faintly exuded Aura, one can see that he is no ordinary person.
"Don't misunderstand, I have no hostility. I'm just here to fulfill a Commission from a Friend."
Nicholas naturally placed the box he was carrying on the ground.
Then he looked at Crocus and smiled, "Do you still remember Brook of the Rumba Pirates back then?"
"Oh?"
Hearing this familiar name, Crocus couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
In addition to surprise, he breathed a sigh of relief. Since the other party could say Brook's name and did not show hostility, it meant that to a large extent, he was not an Enemy.
After casually sticking the Harpoon into the ground, Crocus said, "Of course I remember him. That guy left me with a big burden. If it weren't for that Agreement, maybe I would have made a name for myself long ago."
That outwardly released awe-inspiring Aura instantly collapsed.
"..."
A few minutes later.
An extra Cup and a plate of Smoked Fish, a Specialty Product of Twin Capes, were added to the Round Table.
"I really didn't expect that the Rumba Pirates would all be lost in the Devil's Triangle."
Crocus held a Cup in his hand, looking at the box of Skeleton placed beside him with a face full of sighs.
And in the Sea beside them, the huge Whale Laboon seemed to know that the box of Skeleton brought by Nicholas contained the Partner he had been waiting for for more than ten years. He immediately let out a sad Whale Song, and even his huge eyes were filled with mist and tears flowed out.
"However, it's unbelievable that Brook could actually come back to life after Death."
When he heard that Brook had returned from the underworld after Death using the Ability of the Revive-Revive Fruit, even though he had become a Skeleton, he still felt incredible that he was just like when he was alive.
"Yes, it is indeed quite unbelievable. By the way, Brook also asked me to ask you if you have any News of Captain Yankee, the Captain Yankee of the Rumba Pirates, and other Crew member."
"No, since Brook and the others left Twin Capes, I have never seen any members of the Rumba Pirates again, except for Laboon."
"Is that so? Then it seems they still haven't successfully crossed the Calm Belt."
Just as Nicholas was talking with Crocus, suddenly a Pirate Ship came from Reverse Mountain, sailing down the waterway towards Twin Capes.
It seemed that they saw the Whale Laboon below. The Pirate Crew was obviously frightened by its enormous size and immediately launched a Bombardment in panic.
This action undoubtedly angered Laboon, who was still immersed in sadness. Accompanied by a long roar, this Pirate Ship was crushed directly by the huge Island Whale almost the moment it entered the Grand Line.
When the angry Island Whale was venting madly, suddenly a familiar Music came from the direction of the Lighthouse not far away.
Yohohoho Yohohoho
Yohohoho Yohohoho
Bringing Bink's Sake to your side
Sailing through the waves as the sea breeze pleases
Bringing Bink's Sake to your side
Day after day, in the twilight of dreams
Never again to see that figure waving goodbye
Why the long face?
The moonlight will be the same tomorrow night
Bringing Bink's Sake to your side
Let's sing a song, a song of the Sea
Yohohoho Yohohoho
Yohohoho Yohohoho
At the end of the song was an extremely familiar voice.
"Yohohohoho~ Laboon, I will meet you again from the front as promised! Believe me."
